embolding terrorists
we've heard that term alot...

if we "change the course" in Iraq - we embolden the terrorists

if we speak out against the bush policies - we embolden the terrorists

if we demand accountability - we embolden the terrorists

if we vote for a Democratic candidate - we embolden the terrorists

The repubs can't run on their historical issues (fiscal responsibility and the like) - but they can run on Fear.

Terrorists use terror - hence the name terrorists. Whether it's blowing up buildings or threatening to blow up buildings - the end result is the same - TERROR

seems to me the repubs are not much different - their air-n-scare moments on the news and talk shows are designed to hype the terror. The repubs seem to think by scaring us, we will vote for them. How is this any different than a terrorist threatening to blow something up if we don't do 'x'?

I'll go one step further and submit that by using TERROR, the repubs are embolding the terrorists.

Well Said, I must now plan my shopping list. If I don't go shopping - the Terrorist's Win, you know.

3. another thought
since the repubs have taken over the marketing and promotion of terror-terror-terror - are the terrorist video makers out of a job?

4. Can you think of a greater irony than Donald Rumsfeld warning us
about a new fascism?

I'd say those video makers just got their job security.

5. not sure which would win the "greatest Irony" award
rummy warning us about new fascism, or his complaining that terrorists are doing a better job of "controlling the news"
