I tried enlarging it (didn't want to say bl@wing it vp) to see if I could identify the lighting source from the shadow angles of the individual hairs. Unfortunately the resolution wasn't quite good enough to do this, but I was able to detect some little things that look like beard lice in both beards. The count of lice per sq. cm is about the same in both beards, so I conclude that they've been in there about the same length of time, and they have apparently been doing something that permits lice from one beard to migrate to the other.

So I guess the cave shot must be real but the others are fake.

I checked it with my sister's cousin's friend's niece in Italy -- this guy's a professional photographer -- and he confirmed it!
