New Orleans w/o black people=?
Please fill in the blank. I just want to know what the future will look like because that is definitely what is going to happen!

2. NO real estate will be revalued to the point only the
rich can live there. Like Hilton Head, South Carolina. Katrina, and the powers to be, got rid of the Blacks who owned property.

3. I agree
Was watching "When the Levees Broke", again and there was 3 generations of a family that had lost everything. The granddaughter said that everyone feels that the government is delaying rebuilding to discourage people from returning home.

Wonder if The Donald has stake out his spot for a new hotel yet?

5. They'll some blacks in NOLA
Gotta have that perpetual underclass to help the rich, don't ya know! NOLA, unfortunately, won't be the same. One I've also noticed is that NOLA is becoming/will become more Hispanic, as immigrants (some illegal) have been coming to NOLA to do some of the rebuilding jobs.

6. Yes, from what I understand from family living in NOLA
It is more and more hispanic. They will shift from rebuilding to the service jobs when that time comes so that the "served" class will have it's ready supply of cheap labor for all the necessary tasks to maintain their lifestyle. Do not fear for the wealthy they will be able to handle this issue.

7. The spirit of New Orleans will move elsewhere.
New Orleans is a location. The spirit of New Orleans is embodied by its people.

If I heard correctly, George Bush likened the evacuation of New Orleans to the migration during the Depression. If I were George, I wouldn't have bragged about it.

10. More like a Redder state
LA was already red before Katrina. It's just that now without NOLA, is will become even more red. This gets me concerned about Landrieu's re-election bid in 2008, as she barely won last time, and that was only with NOLA's help (her father, afterall, was a former Mayor of NOLA.)
