What right-wing sound bite do you think is the most stupid?
I saw this on a SUV today and I think its the most stupid---
"Except for Ending Slavery, Fascism, and Communism, War Never Solved Anything"

First of all the Nazis started World War II, and the Confederates started the Civil War by firing on Fort Sumter, these were not wars that were launched as a solution to end slavery or fascism, but were wars that were started to advance them. Only evil regimes have seen starting wars as a positive thing and the results of those decisions have been horrific for the world. Communism wasn't even defeated by a military war; Did the Korean War, Vietnam War or the Bay of Pigs end Communism? No. Most of the time when we tried to end Communism by military means it ended up as a colossal failure. Communism was defeated by containment, so why are they suggesting it was done by war?

So what is the stupidest right wing sound bite you've heard?

6. This isn't a sound bite, but it bothered me since '04 elections...
I remember Chris Matthews "reporting" the outcome of a poll.

He said, "Democrats drive SUVs, where Republicans drive Minivans";
"Democrats don't recycle, where Republicans usually recycle".

I think of that almost every time I bring my recyclables to the curb, then drive off in my Minivan. :eyes:

9. Mind-boggling.
And it's mind-boggling that they can say stupid shit like that and get away with it. So much for the "librul media". :eyes:

4. Fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them here
It doesn't seem stupid...until you pause to actually think about it. Sadly, few have paused yet.

5. We don't negotiate with terrorists.
Pretty much decimates any hint of diplomacy. Especially when you can pretty much label anyone a "terrorist."

10. Those "protesters telling Gore to get out of Cheney's house.

That one really got to me.

Gore was moving out on January 20 regardless of the results of the election. He was not going to be VP any longer and wouldn't live there. In the mean time, he was the VP and belonged there.

Were the protesters against a constitutional, orderly transition of power? Were they trying to speed up the rapture and end times? Their protests just seemed so stupid and purposeless. Like such a waste of time and effort.

12. small problem

There is a small problem with that bumper sticker, well, actually three. 1) While it has been substantially reduced, slavery still exists, most notably in the Sudan. 2) There are still Fascists, including numerous Neo-Nazi groups. 3) Communism is alive and well in China, Cuba,North Korea and many other countries, the communists just don't rule as many as they once did.
