The MSM will be encouraging us to "turn the page" on Katrina
I'm sure this is done at the White House's suggestion, too. Get it out, look back on the storms, show some pictures of the devastation, and then move on. That's their game plan. Start looking ahead to 9/11, so that the old well can come through for them one more time.

But here's the problem with that. The storm led to the floods, which led to day after day of chaos in New Orleans. It was four or five days, each of them seeming to be worse than the day before, before the aid started coming in.

I say remember the storm, but be damn sure that the storm itself isn't all that's remembered about Katrina. Because the JonBenet case will be forced on us all over again tomorrow.

2. No way am I "turning the page" on Katrina.
Not as long as so much of the Gulf region doesn't look much better than it did a year ago.

Not as long as so many people are still without the bare essentials necessary for life.

Not so long as so many people who want to return to their homes aren't able to because they have nothing to return to.

Not so long as the criminals in the White House keep talking about who much progress has been made, while making sure to keep the still-devastated areas out of camera range.

Not so long as these same criminals are not held accountable for their deliberate and wonton desertion of the Gulf residents in their greatest time of need -- because those residents have the audacity to be black, brown and/or poor.

Not so long as there is still one displaced person, one scrap of a destroyed house, one spore of deadly mold.

No, I will not turn the page.

3. Never forget these 3 simple facts
1.)Bush had plenty of warnings ahead of time.

2.)Bush promised to help during and after Katrina.

3.)Bush broke his promise and lied to cover it up.
