Hilarious blog entry on terrorism from East Texas
http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/load/hottopics/msg0810243221670.html?108

We have several threads going here where posters claim that we are in imminent danger of being destroyed, that our Constitution is hampering us winning the war on terrorism, and even that Muslims are incapable of being loyal to the United States.

This got me thinking over my third cup of coffee this morning. Just how often on an average day do you think about terrorism? how much time every day do you spend worrying about being killed by a terrorist?

I've got to say that for myself, the answer to either question is almost nil. Now granted, I live out in the sticks, so it's not like I live in New York City, but we do have a large Muslim community here (unlikely as that may be) and sit in the middle of an oil field & have several refineries near by. Be that as it may, once I got over the shock of the actual event of 9/11 (and managed to travel the 1000 miles back home from where I was stuck on that day), i don't think I've had any substantial fear of a terrorist attack at all.

I do worry about lots of things - how much is my electric bill going to be after 18 straight days with temperatures over 200 degrees; is it ever going to rain here again; how badly is the root canal I've got to have on Tuesday going to hurt; is my brother properly controlling his diabetes. All these things occupy my mind. But whether or not the Pakistani doctor at East Texas Medical Center is going to blue up the Valero refinery occupies not one nanosecond of my time.

What about the rest of you?
