I couldn't. That's the difference between me and president bush and all those other assholes who send well meaning young men off to die for lies and profits instead of honor and democracy. They can look right into their burnt faces and not flinch.

They can walk right up to a young, patriotic man and shake his stump of a hand while he's all hooked up to medical equipment and smile and say, 'thank you for your service' just as bold as you please. I couldn't do that, I'm a human being.

As far as they are concerned the soldiers were just doing their jobs. They signed up, knew the risks and accepted them. Now it's too bad if they got hurt, but they got paid for their duty so they have nothing to complain about. And anyway, freedom isn't free.

8. What I'd like to see...

is that smug shit-faced phucko spend a day with the soldiers who are burned, maimed, who are missing limbs, who will never walk again. Get a photo op with some of the REALLY injured, who are bitter and know that they got screwed. Not some white kid with both legs and arms. Lets get some 3rd degree burn victims in there.

9. The most painful memories I have is, my younger brother

spending one day shy of 6 weeks in the burn center at Hillcrest. All because he was new on the job and not adequately trained, didn't realize the dangers.
