Laura Bush redux
Recently, a 16-year old girl ran over and killed a 17-year old boy.
Both were on their way to school.
The 16-year old comes from a well-to-do family. She is a cheerleader...popular, and very Republican.
The boy was an average kid like most of us. Family doesn't have money. He wasn't a jock or a geek. Just everyday average.
The first stories I heard regarding this incident were that this boy was walking in the middle of the road. Then the next stories was that this boy has a "history" of doing goofy things. Now the next thing I hear is that people (who are incidentally friends and co-workers of the girl's family) are doing depositions that they have all seen him jumping in front of cars for kicks.:wtf:
So...after getting all the stories, we drove out to the crash site.
It happened on a straight highway, speed limit 70 in the morning on a clear day. The skid marks actually start on the very far shoulder. She has made comments that she thought she hit a dog. So with at least 1/2 mile of visibility, she never saw him walking.
I don't know what happened because I wasn't there, but from the looks of the paint marks on the road...it appears she ran over him while he was walking on the shoulder.
However...the typical Republican smear campaign has started. It was his fault because...
I can't imagine this happening to my daughter...but I would hope if it did, that remorse would be the thing she would want to portray, not spend her time pointing a finger at a boy whose body she just ripped into two pieces.

4. you know for a fact its a Republican family? also when did it happen?
was it at night? what was the weather like? And yes, 16 year old boys (even nice average ones) can be dumb and do stupid things like jump out in front of cars. I'm not saying this is what happened but I would like to know more about it.

5. Yes I do. I know the family of the girl personally.
It was in the morning in broad daylight.
I didn't post the link to the local story because for some stupid reason it gave the names of both kids involved.
I know that frequently freepers visit this site and drag little particles to their hidey holes and I want to respect both families privacy in this.
