Rumsfeld: Bush critics are confused.
Edited on Tue Aug-29-06 01:24 PM by im10ashus
What a complete asshole.

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (AP) -- Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld on Tuesday accused critics of the Bush administration's Iraq and counterterrorism policies of lacking the courage to fight terror.

In unusually explicit terms, Rumsfeld portrayed the administration's critics as suffering from "moral and intellectual confusion" about what threatens the nation's security.

Addressing several thousand veterans at the American Legion's national convention, Rumsfeld recited what he called the lessons of history, including the failed efforts to appease the Adolf Hitler regime in the 1930s.

"I recount this history because once again we face the same kind of challenges in efforts to confront the rising threat of a new type of fascism" he said.

Rumsfeld spoke to an American Legion convention as part of a coordinated White House strategy, in advance of the fifth anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on U.S. soil, aiming to take the offensive against administration critics at a time of doubt about the future of Iraq and how long U.S. troops must remain there.

cont'd...

2. They are truly frightening.
Never able to own up to their mistakes and admit that they were wrong on ANY matter. A sure sign of dementia.

3. Moral confusion: To link Iraq and 9/11, and fail at addressing both
the first through incompetence and the second through neglect.

4. And the bu$h regime is all delusional
These monsters are scary as hell.
I remember being afraid of what Reagan would do accidentally being president, but these monsters are liable to do it just to destroy things.

7. I thought the Commies used to use words like these.
"Moral and intellectual confusion" I mean. Isn't that what they used to say about Troskyites and stuff?

8. This means the next terra attack is coming very soon.
Rumsfeld is just priming the pump to say "I toldya so".

Hang on to your seats folks - the terra card is coming back out in a desperate attempt to scare the populace back into the sheepfold.

14. The terror card has been played way too many times
It has lost it's punch. IF this bunch knows of some serious stuff coming down, and ignores it once again, we may see an electorate that says, hey, why didn't you know, you claimed to be doing all this illegal stuff (wire taps, etc.) just to keep us safe bs? Let us hope at least 50+% have gotten wiser.

bush taking credit for the "so called" British terror plot is bs and our Dem. candidates needs to bring this truth front and center. If there truly was a threat the Brits uncovered it sounds like we blew it by forcing them to reveal what was going on too soon. Who knows for sure, our politicians don't investigate - - - anything. bush puts his Hit Men in charge of any investigation, like Kissinger and Judge Laurence Silberman, oh, the list goes on.

Only political junkies like us on this site realise Who is Who in the Zoo.

9. Rumsfeld: You are delusional. You are not trying to correct the problem.
YOU ARE THE PROBLEM. You and your little friends, George, Dick, and Karl.

You guys are trying to stop the flood by opening the floodgates. We need to cut off the water supply to stop the flood.

The GOP is going to have to have their power removed from them to stop fascism in this country.

...funny how he only got his courage up to join the Navy in '54. You know, the year after Korea ended. Donny was too busy being a Republican during the war years.

15. Project much?
Every time I hear or read something that Rummy has said, I just have to wonder if anyone else notices that its all projection. Whatever horrible thing they say about liberals, is what they are guilty of. Whatever they say about terrorists, the enemy, Iran, whatever, they are talking about themselves.

Projection.

What this message of Rummy's says to me is that this administration is morally and intellectually confused. He's absolutely right when he says we are facing fascism, he is just confused about the source of that fascism.

I think because Rummy casts no reflection, he has to see himself in his "enemies."

16. The "gall" of this life-long "unitary executive" traitor:

From: http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory?id=2370273

-> "Can we truly afford to believe somehow, some way, vicious extremists can be appeased?" he asked.

Obvious answer: No, we can't afford (no longer) to ignore YOU and your pack of PNAC LIARS creating endless wars where YOU send the free (for YOU) cannon fodder in order YOU to profit from endlessly.

->Rumsfeld made similar arguments in Reno about doubters of the administration's approach to fighting terrorism, saying too many in this country want to "blame America first" and ignore the enemy.

So to blame this maladministration which is only supported by 1/3 of America equates to "blame America" for this "let's bomb Iraq instead" war criminal?

It is clearer than ever they want to bomb Iran on the day after the next sElections (if not before, but they know it could cost them when the price of oil skyrockets). What's even more scary is, as we all witnessed in Iraq, this incompetent right-wing extremist idiot will claim they'll make no mistakes, while only producing "confusing" Power-Point slides and use them for "plans."
:scared:

Why does the most powerful armed forces on earth doesn't start "protecting itself" by first "removing" these hacks from power as soon as... tomorrow?? (Or before millions of American citizen start freezing to death next winter because they won't afford to pay their heating bills?) Why?
:scared: :scared:

BTW, where is bin forgotten?? Why should Rumsfailed give speeches instead of working to find that CIA operative? Who pays his salary to spread his "Goebellsian" propaganda instead of working (5 years later...) to find him?

:grr:
