THEY have something already lined up for an October Surprise
...and it's gonna be a doozy. They're so goddam transparent...Tom Davis (R-VA) is already dropping hints:
"The issue matrix and political dynamics are not good for us," says Representative Tom Davis, a Virginia Republican. "Only some big national or international event before the election can change that."...

What's your best guess on what they're scheduling for us?

1. Iran!
Some incident that makes it an imperative that we invade them.

4. You just know we're gonna lob a missle at Iran.
That's what I think... they'll disrupt some terror plot, they'll allege that the alleged terrorists are allegedly Iranian, and they'll lob a missle at 'em.

Expedite WWIII... right before election day.

I happen to think it'll be late, late October, whatever it is they're planning. Much like the OBL video that popped up on the eve of Kerry vs. Bush in 2004.

You're right about their transparency. These kinds of comments should be taken seriously, because it's as though they're directing the base. "When something happens, you have to remember to vote for us." They're prompting them, preparing them.

Latest evidence of that were Tony Snow and Dick Cheney's comments right after the Lamont primary victory. Next day... Hey, we disrupted the liquid plane bombing plot!

I'm nervous. I really am.

5. Tense confrontation with Iran, and then a surprise settlement.

It's already been planned out. They can claim they stared down the enemy, and the enemy blinked first. Bush's Cuban Missile Crisis, redux.

It'll turn out that some sort of quid pro quo deal was worked out well in advance. Make that - Bush 41's Iran-Contra scandal, redux.

This is something people have been watchful of. Hopefully this is just some talk to get the conspiracy theorists all riled up.

The article also says this:
"Barring an unexpected and big event, the Democrats are on course to win control of the U.S. House of Representatives in November and conceivably the Senate, too"

7. I've always believed
their ace in the hole would be finding Bin Laden-or somebody who looks eerily similar enough to fool the MSM

9. been saying it all along
terror 'lerts aren't enough. they may give a slight boost in a repub's poll, but the boost is tiny and doesn't last more than a couple of days

2-3rd week in October (most likely 3rd week) - terrattack close to homeland, but not on the homeland

won't be on US soil because that would screw the "we're safer with repubs" argument -- but it will be close enough to shake people and the slogan will be "the next one could be in your back yard if you vote for democrats - booga-booga"

remember all they have left to offer is TERROR-TERROR-TERROR

it'll be most likely the 3rd week because that give them a little over 2 weeks of air'n scare time and not enough time for the dems to adequately respond

if you have travel plans for this time period - I'd change or cancel them or else be prepared to find alternate modes of transportation.

---

meanwhile - a thought: terrorists are called terrorists because they use terror to intimidate people. As we have seen over the past 5 years - just the mere increase of undefined, non-specific "chatter" has sent our Homeland Insecurity Department to issue "alerts". This means "terror" is working. All a group has to do is to increase "chatter" and we go scrambling.

There is also a little thing called "terroristic threats" on the law books. A person can be arrested for making terroristic threats.

Now if a repub gets out in front of a camera and does the booga-booga "we're all going to die" routine - isn't that using terror to frighten people into voting for him? Couldn't you argue that his/her booga-booga air 'n scare time is a terroristic threat?

10. I think they need some sort of plausible explanation for howcome
the Democratic vote vaporizes in November & the Puggies squeak through to hold their majporities. And we know they HAVE to hold those majorities in order to avoid unleashing Dem investigators--John Conyers, for one.

13. Because they've done this over and over
they keep hitting us with this damn october suprise crap and we keep salivating just like Pavlov's dog. We've been conditioned to expect it, the way to combat this is to formulate our own good plan and stick to it and the fuck with October suprise.
