Don't you hate those spoiled, soft rich brats who reap the benefits of
what their ancestors did? Their entire life is basically spent reaping the rewards of what others did? The money they spend, the freedom, the entitlement?
George W. Bush is an excellent example. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He never HAD to work. Never had to be productive. However, he has had EVERYTHING handed to him, basically because of the family he was born into. He would never be able to make it without family money. He would have been nothing but an unsuccessful alcoholic.
Another excellent example is the American people. Our forefathers fought, sacrificed and DIED to give us a country we could LIVE in. However, we aren't any better than the typical rich kid.
We have run it in the ground environmentally and have stood idly by while our country has been decimated. We should look South and take it to the streets. In fact, that is what we are SUPPOSED to do. But wait, doesn't American Idol start next month?
Well, maybe when the reruns start again...

1. One of the Johnson & Johnson heirs has a movie coming out
I think it's called The One Percent. Should be interesting...an expose of how the mega-rich live, including scenes where his family threatens him if he releases the film.

4. I've seen the guy on chat shows
He's different from most of the mega rich in that he realizes just how lucky he is. He still has no clue how the rest of us live, he's just aware that a large trust fund will prevent his ever finding out first hand.

Most people in this country think "rich" is earning $100,000 a year. I sincerely hope this movie will wake them up.

5. To a certain extent...
...that describes the United States.

The Europeans moved here to a land of incredible natural abundance, protected by two oceans, and stole the land from the native inhabitants by brutal force. Now they pat themselves on the back regularly for their "superior culture and values", as if starting on third base made their slide into home even more remarkable.

As as the rich brats you cite, they are in the process of not only squandering their own "inheritance" but that of the the rest of the world as well.

The whole country needs a good spanking...

12. According to
an American family history compiled by my father, which is based on family diaries and letters from early American ancestors, settlers here did not start on "third base." Surviving here was very hard. Perhaps they got to "first base" by establishing a homestead and providing food and shelter to produce a few healthy children.

My generation may have been born on third base, but not the early Europeans that first crossed the ocean and settled here.

6. Can't last forever
"He would have been nothing but an unsuccessful alcoholic."

Who we would want to help and have compassion for. Funny.

"Our forefathers fought, sacrificed and DIED to give us a country we could LIVE in."

And took land and people from other peoples and other lands.

All empires come and go. We were in the right place, at the right time. We can take to as many streets as we want, America can't last forever.

7. I really hate defending "the rich"
But what you're talking about is a disease of values, not of net worth, and it impacts more than just people with measurable net worth.

8. He never had to work, and when he did
Everything he touched turned to shit - his failed oil companies that couldn't stay afloat even with help from Daddy's rich friends in Saudi Arabia, getting rid of Sammy Sosa from the Rangers, Texas is still recovering from his time as governor, and now his presidency has dug us deeper into so many different kinds of holes that it will take a long time to recover.

9. Inherited wealth and dynastic political power
were both troubling to our founding fathers. They realized that nations are brought to their knees by both as the rich will start caring about only one thing; how to retain wealth and power and will use any means to retain both, even to the detriment of their own nation.
