Poll question: A Debate with Ahmadinejad - taking Bush out of the Equation
If President Bush weren't President and we had Clinton, Gore, or Kerry (or any Democrat) would you advise them to engage in this debate? Or would you be opposed to it?

For those of you who don't know what this is about - the President of Iran, Ahmadinejad has challanged President Bush to a Debate.

1. It would be a disaster for any president, especially *
Ahmadinejad talks way too much without saying anything, he interupts, he doesn't answer questions, he just preaches. He would be a terrible debater. * would just repeat talking points and embarrass our country more. It would accomplish nothing.

2. I know this is crazy, but how about a DIALOGUE?!
You know, like every other world leader has from time to time?! Invite them to your capital, maybe Camp David, or a neutral location if need be, and sit in a room and hammer out your differences?! If, as many claim, Ahmadinejad is just listening to the Ayatollah's marching orders, why not present him with at least another voice? (Remember, the title says taking Bush out of the equation) Hell, wasn't it close to 30 years ago that the US and Iran had any diplomatic relations whatsoever? Hell, fire off an 18 page letter of your own(write in big letters, double space, and add illustrations), and get a dialogue? I mean, we gave them aid after the earthquake of 2004, I think, so we apparently don't want every Iranian off the face of the earth, and there's a starting point if nothing else. "Hey, Mahmoud, did you guys get our check? Cool, how's the neighborhood there looking?" See?! Is that so damn hard? If Rabin and Arafat could do in in the 1990s, what the hell is our excuse?
