Hell froze over. I saw a fair and accurate TV news expose.
I saw this last week, and am just getting around to posting, sorry.

HDNet's World Report. Greg Dobbs (don't know if any relation to Lou) reported on increasing the minimum wage. His set up accurately stated the REPUBLICAN bill to raise the minimum wage was voted on, and that they are historically against it, and that it failed because it was...get this... attached to a repeal of The Estate Tax. Yes, he actually said the tax accurately!:wow:

He then interviewed 4 spokespeople from both sides of the debate. The obligatory Heritage mouthpiece, and a pro-minimum wage group's spokesperson, but the pro-MW guy got in the last word...the other one too! They interviewed people on the street, and the ratio of for vs. against was about 60-40%, about the right sample according to polls. He went into a lengthy expose about how many of the same arguments against raising MW, such as unemployment, higher prices, business bankruptcies, etc. have largely never occured in the past, and backed that up with stats from the two pro-MW guests. My mouth was on the floor.

Some other reports I've seen from them, like Space Shuttle Discovery and NASA's budget woes and the recent conflict's aftermath in Lebanon, were also pretty well balanced as well (not one sided for Israel, but showing the Lebanese as real people).

Imagine that! There really is such a thing as a balanced and accurate news channel and magazine show. The bad part is that you have to get High Definition TV to see it!
