It's Time to Take Our Democracy Back!

VR Launches new campaigns to protect our democracy:

Election Protection Strike Force, CA-50 Lawsuit, and Camp Democracy

VR has launched three exciting campaigns that will help protect our
Democracy:
1) VR Election Protection Strike Force

First, VR is continuing to roll out our VR Election Protection Strike
Force as we attempt to hold off the wave of train wrecks currently
wreaking havoc on our electoral system. The fight, for VR at least, began
long ago and continues to this day as we head toward November. The Strike
Force has several components: a battery of lawyers in key jurisdictions
and races prepared to file lawsuits challenging electoral fraud and
malfeasance; a media war room to inform the mass and online media of
problems before the election and problems on the day of the election so
they will have the information necessary to report to the public on what
is going on as our electoral system continues to meltdown; a strike force
of activists who will be on hand to witness and challenge election fraud
and illegally administered elections through emails, petitions, phone
calls, rallies, and protests; a large whistleblower reward fund to attract
information about fraud and malfeasance; a marketing campaign to inform
every person involved with elections, from poll workers to Secretaries of
State, that we expect clean and honest elections and that we will hold
them accountable, both civilly and criminally, for any fraud or
malfeasance; and finally, a hotline/tip line where people can report
fraud.
We need all VR members to be a part of this Strike Force by becoming poll
workers, keeping an eye out for problems, reporting fraud to us, and
donating big time for this campaign!

2) CA-50 Busby/Bilbray Lawsuit

Second, VR realizes that Election Protection starts now -- not on Election
Day! We have been sponsoring the important lawsuit/contest in San Diego's
CA50, challenging the reported results and massive malfeasance in the
administration of Busby/Bilbray special election for the U.S. to the
convicted Congressman Duke Cunningham. Everyone who reads VR or The BRAD
BLOG should know that that race used unsecured Diebold machines, sent home
with pollworkers for days and weeks prior to the election, and other
procedures that violated both the law and due process. The contest in San
Diego suit was filed a few weeks ago and is on a fast track for trial
unless it's derailed by the Republicans in the U.S. House who have argued
that only the House, not the voters of California, have the right to
challenge such elections. The legal team has actually moved their office
to San Diego to fight this case and the expenses are piling in by the day.
We really need your help to finance this suit and any appeals that are
necessary. Please donate! The fight for accountability in American
elections has begun!

3) Camp Democracy

Third, VR is the lead sponsor of Camp Democracy which will take over the
Washington, D.C. Mall from September 5 - 21. We want everyone to
participate with their friends in letting the world know that Americans
will not tolerate stolen elections, will stand up when basic rights are
stripped away, will not look the other way when citizens are spied on and
wars on built on lies. People across the world are gathering and
protesting unenlightened policies based on military might rather than
discourse, diplomacy and common sense. Camp Democracy will be our chance
to do the same. There will be music, rallies, training and lots of food.
So come and plan to camp out. Cindy Sheehan will move her Camp Casey from
Crawford, TX to DC and we expect lots of appearances by politicians,
celebrities, and other well known activists. So mark your calendars and
