The PD stooges have been hinting at this story for the last week on their online political forum.

They also couldn't resist one last shot at the Jon Benet Ramsey story in headline of their print edition.

Pretty amazing, with Ohio shedding jobs by the thousands every month and the Noe trial starting up, all they can report on in Jon Benet Ramsey, gas prices and how to make your teenager behave.

1. Everyone up here we've spoken with, although grateful for the relief, are

also suspicious as heck. Other then upcoming elections ::snarf:: & possibly the normal end of Summer dip there's no real logic as to WHY the prices are going down so much especially after BP has said they've shut off the Alaskan oil "tap" while "repairing" those leaking like a sieve pipes.

Up here in very NNY we may be out in bumble f* to most politicians (except Hillary believe it or not) but most folks up here actually READ the local newspaper, watch Canadian/US news and many are on the 'net getting info as well. Being out in dairy country we normally know BS when we see/smell it ;) and most folks I've spoken with up here are just NOT buying any of it anymore... if they ever did.

(It's amazing what I've learned over the last couple of months while having Yard/Estate Sales here (with Bill & Hill's life size pics as mascots). :D

2. If you had any doubts, this should show the oil co.s and bush

control the price. We have BP cutting production. As of close of business Fri. a major storm was heading directly at NOLA, potentialy disrupting production. Tensions in the ME are at an all time high, except hez/hams and Israel, and that is probably temporary. The price of oil has been going back up over the last week. Was it Chad that just kicked big oil out of their country? All of this going on, but elections are getting close.

It's the end of summer, gas prices always go down at the end of the summer.
