1. No, Il Dunce is in the Katrina area to make everyone feel safer.
But his gang of thugs are very close, have no fear.

2. More Americans will have died in Iraq than on 9/11 by Dec. 8th.
It's rather sobering when put in those terms. Total Americans killed in Iraq, currently 2630. Official tally for 9/11, 2819. Difference: 189. At current KIA rate in Iraq, that's 101 days. That makes on or about December 8th that the soldiers killed in Iraq will be more numerous than the civilians killed on 9/11.

7. If you had a tinfoil hat like mine
You would believe we have already surpassed that number.

3. Actually,
The Bush/Cheney Butcher’s Bill: Officially, 52 US Military Deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan from 1 August 2006 - 24 August 2006- Official Total of 2,813 US dead to date (and rising).

The actual total of dead American military personnel is now over 12,000 and also rising and the number of seriously wounded is now ca 25,000.

You are not counted as a military death in Iraq unless you actually physically die on the ground. If you catch a belly full of shrapnel and die two weeks later in hospital, you are not added to the list.

5. Are you sure about that?
"You are not counted as a military death in Iraq unless you actually physically die on the ground. If you catch a belly full of shrapnel and die two weeks later in hospital, you are not added to the list."

It was my understanding that this was the opposite--anyone killed as a direct result of action in Iraq is on the list. For one thing, ICasualties sometimes will list someone who's "died from wounds." Also, generally speaking the military has pretty good doctors; if you don't die within the first 24 hours, they can almost always keep you alive, even if you don't want to be.

6. As far as I know its true.
I've read it in a few places. At any rate, the "official" death toll is not accurate.
