I participated in a Rasmussen poll tonight!
I was so excited!

I rec'd an automated call tonight from Rasmussen, asking me to participate in a
political poll.

I was so glad they called me! Of course, I gave our pResident the worst possible marks
possible!

They asked if I approved of the job that the pResident was doing. I said "strongly disapprove."
They also asked, "Who do you trust more to handle the war on terror, the pResident or Democrats in Congress?" They also asked about my politics(lib/moderate/con--Dem/Ind/Rep), and also about my religious beliefs, income, marriage status. There were questions about the upcoming gubernatorial election in our state.

I've never been called for a a political poll. It feels good to know that my opinion will be counted in their daily polling.

It feels good to know that when Junior's handlers give him the latest Rasmussen polls--and his approvals are in the toilet--that my voice will have played a tiny role in ruining his day.

I'm the decider now, Chucklenuts.

3. LOL! "that my voice will have played a tiny role in ruining his day"
Kudos to you, and I'm still thinking of ways to piss off the local repugs! All politics is local or so I've heard!

4. Bush hardly does well in the Rasmussen poll either...
it sure ain't nothin to brag about for bush, even if its a little higher ratings than he gets from other polls. consistently he gets twice as many people who strongly disapprove (usually 40%) who "strongly approve".

No poll, no matter how objective, is perfect. especially given the fact that many people do not have as strong a opinion of political issues as most of us do... folks may say they "approve somewhat" but still have many strong objections to some of the things Bush is doing.

5. I participated in the same poll, three or four nights ago. . .
Are you in California? I was asked a slate of questions about the California gubernatorial election, as well as comparisons between the two major Senate candidates. I had the feeling the poll was geared more to State politics than national, and that the national questions were there to ascertain more my beliefs about local two-party concerns. In any event, I too have had an opportunity to play another small role in ruining his day, and yes, it certainly feels good!

8. I'm in Iowa...
They asked me about local elections (gov/Senate).

However, they asked me questions a few questions about the pResident, and asked me to rate his handling on terror, the economy, etc.

I got the feeling that they were measuring both presidential and local politics.

6. You represented about 100,000 voters or 200,000 adults.
Did they ask whether wyou were registered to vote? Did they ask about how certain you were to vote in the next general election? Those are initial questions when they're polling "registered voters" or "likely voters."

7. They asked me...
how often I vote in general elections. They also asked if I was registered to vote...and if I was a registered Dem/I/or Rep.

Those questions were asked about 3/4 into the poll.
