Marines carrying a wounded soldier...


That's my father-in-law in back, carrying a wounded Marine on Guadalcanal.

I'm hoping that somebody out there might know the name of the photographer.

patriotic thoughts- "Gee, isn't it wonderful to be wounded in service of my country? Maybe I'll die. Yeah, Ma would really love that. Nothing better than that officer knocking on your."
