Santorum: Fight against 'Islamic fascism' akin to World War II

HARRISBURG, Pa. - U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum on Monday drew parallels between World War II and the current war against "Islamic fascism," saying they both require fighting a common foe in multiple countries.

"Were the Japanese imperialists with their mind-set and their ideology the same as the Nazis? Obviously not. Were they same at the fascists in Italy? Obviously not. But they were still a common enemy," the Republican told about 250 people at a Pennsylvania Press Club luncheon.

"We're at war with Islamic fascism," said Santorum, who is seeking a third term this year. "Afghanistan and Iraq and southern Lebanon and every country around the world is a front."

Santorum, who continues to trail Democratic challenger Bob Casey in the polls, said high oil prices help U.S. enemies in the Middle East. He called for a major federal commitment to promoting alternative fuel technology, such as converting coal into low-sulfur jet fuel for military planes, and a relaxation of environmental restrictions to allow expanded oil drilling in Alaska.

anyone about WMDs in Iraq, so now this? Wasn't WWII an action, while 'islamo-fascism' is a system or philosophy? I think ole Ricky should just hang it up!

4. The republicans are the fascists...
Islamic fundamentalist terrorists are a lot of things, but they aren't fascists.

The repukes, however, fit the definition perfectly.

More projection from the fascist asshole repukes!

12. No such thing as Islamic Fascism
So it's no wonder yet another GOP bloviator would make a speech about it.

I've read the Qur'an a couple of times (English translation of course). There's not a word about fascism in there. Because fascism as a western political ideology came about waaaay later. Fascism is best described as corporate-friendly, militarily beligerent, supremist, socially violent, intolerant and often racist. None of those things are virtues in the Qur'an.

Rick Sanitorium is brainless tool.
