Just watched "Why We Fight" and I am LIVID.
I resisted watching it for a LONG time because I knew
it would make me furious.
I was wrong, I am beyond furious, I am psychotic with RAGE.

It really should be required watching for all Americans.
We are in the grips of mad men.
Rummy
Cheney
Bush Sr
Wolfowitz
Perle
Cambone

ALL of them, and many others of their ilk are
repsonsible for the destruction of our country.
Not to mention our criminal congress critters.

The military industrial complex is indeed running
our country and our military with the complicity of the
most corrupt congress in the history of the US.

And the worst part?
They don't care how many people die.
Not for a minute.
They don't care about innocent civilians or
US service men and women, much less you or me.

Rant over.

5. I don't know- I saw it on TV.
I never watch TV, but a friend told me it
was available as a pay movie on our cable service,
so I thought, "What the hell? I want to see it...even if it does
make me more furious than I already am."

Well, it did just that- it is a must see.
Pretty much everything DUers with brains already know-
but put together in such a way as to make it all
one big picture of just how FUBAR it has gotten.

You might want to have a drink before you watch it
as to not throw something at your television
when Cheney and Rumsfeld are on screen.
William Kristol too, I'm thinking HE might be the anti-christ.
What a SCARY freak he is.

9. Trust me, you must see this one.
It becomes painfully clear where we
are headed.
Congress is not going to save us.
Our "elected" reperesentatives are not going to save us.
We are going to be very much on our own, like Katrina victims.

They fully intend to continue "all war, all the time"
for the rest of our lives.

They are assured that the collapse of the economy
and dismal future facing young people today will
provide a never ending source of soldiers to carry out their
agenda.

And, they are most likely right.

They have designed it all perfectly.
"We have lost the Republic," as Chalmers Johnson
says in the movie.

Clinton-bots have no more clue than the bush-bots in
my mind.
Yes, life was seemingly more quiet under the Clinton years,
but the fact is, the Clintons were setting the stage for
what we have now under the Cheney/Rumsfeld corporate
owned Congress. I believe the Clintons are every bit
as responsible as the rest of the thugs.
They just fucked us with a smile, that's all.
Cheney fucks us with a sneer.
No difference in the "end result" of
being screwed.
Ms. Clinton sat on the board of Walmart
for six years- she knew what was coming as
far as the destruction of family owned businesses.
She helped orchestrate it.

Only reliable way to reach me is my cell.

43. Yes I think it is more of a business decision

Because if you read about it, going back even to a long time ago, it is always really just about some companies doing stuff to increase their profits. And to some of us maybe we look at it and say well it is wrong but the companies will say no it is right because we made all this money and look how for every ten million dollars we made, we gave you like 3 or 4 dollars so you should not be complaining.

But the thing is that not very many people complain, and now with the war on terror anybody who does is considered a terrorist sympathizer. So even fewer people want to complain because who wants to be considered that? Because that could mean problems with your job, and your school, and even your family. And I know what I am talking about because I think my dad considers me a terrorist sympathizer and I have not really told him hardly any of my opinions but just even the smallest hint that maybe my point of view is different is enough to make him mad and start talking about people defending our freedom. So I don't tell him that I don't think that is what they are defending at all.

But the money is so much, and the companies are so powerful, and now with the war on terror stuff they have fixed it so that even fewer people will disagree with them, and like you just said, it was not like a whole lot of people were disagreeing with them before so who is going to stop them?

When our so called representatives are beholden
to appeasing the corporate masters of war,
WHO IS going to stop them???

We have no representation.
The voice of WE, the PEOPLE, has effectively
been silenced due to the GREED of the people
sitting in the seats of the executive and legislative branches.

I am really starting to wonder-
"What's the point of anything if this is what we are facing?"
Everything we grew up believing in America
simply is no longer true.
We have lost our country to the MIC that Eisenhower
tried to warn us about...
I really don't know how we are going to get her back.
I really don't.

17. Can't give me a decade
where we haven't been involved in some type of war somewhere. Prior to 1900, it was domestic. Obviously the British are thrown in there, but they were the ones trying to keep an empire at the time. Around 1900, the US starts to expand beyond the shores.

I haven't seen the documentary, but I'd like to. Won't go out of my to see it though. I know we've been an expanding center of power from day 1. We were built to be an empire. There's nothing anyone can do about that. You can write all the rules and regulations you want, it's not going to stop it. We're not the largest superpower just because we're America. Plenty of factors contribute. Right place and the right time, historical factors, geography, climate. Not saying we haven't worked hard at it. It's just that this is what we've always been.

Especially those thinking the elections
are gonna turn it around...
Think again.

The ONLY way to turn it around is to
completely CLEAN the HOUSES of the
complicit and corrupt politicians,
and to find a way to provide our young
people a way to survive without enlisting
in the military.

From my perspective, after watching the film-
THOSE are the battles that WE, the people
must fight and WIN.

I don't know if the average American is
prepared to do what it is going to take to
get our country back from the masters of war.

Then watch "The Power of Nightmares", a BBC three part series. One of the most educational films I have ever seen.
Then watch "Terror Storm", by Alex Jones. I first took Alex Jones to be a radical nutcase, boy was I wrong. He's spot on.
Then watch "Loose Change", well done film listing all the "coincidence theories" around 9-11.
