Should American Indians have tried to have a dialog with the terrorists who tried to eradicate them?

I was struck watching the video of Anne Coulter on Crooks and Liars where Hannity acts like striking up a dialog between us and the terrorists is inconceivable, and he starts talking down the the Dems on the program as being out of touch with reality. What he fails to realize, is that the US has been in the shoes of terrorist many, many times. Were we so evil and insane that the American Indians shouldn't have attempted a dialog with us before we eradicated their people with disease ridden blankets and killed their food supply by the millions?

Hannity has the imagination and brain power of grub worm.

1. naah it was the other way round

the Indians were terrorists that didn't use the land the right way, a bit of the same motive the Israeli give regarding the Palestinians. Besides the blue-eyed Vikings were there "first". And they didn't have the right religion either. So it was impossible to negotiate with them despite tricky attempts to lure the righteous Pilgrims in big dinners at the end of November.
