Here's the set up. I live in older apts and my neighbors are a diverse group. Next door is a Latino couple with a young girl. Next to that is another Latino couple with a girl about 5. The next building is a 65ish woman with long straight hair that wears skirts down to her ankle (Southern Baptist if I ever lived south of the M-D line!) and her husband who just had a stroke or something. Hanging in their window are bible verses in big letters. Every Sunday they have visitors who drive a beat up minivan with a handmade sign 2'x2' hanging in the rear window with huge bright letters, you guessed it, 'jesus.'

Ok, I just got back home and the 5 year old girl and a boy about the same age are puttering around the small parking lot we call home. I get out of my car and I hear the boy say something, but not what, and hear the girl say, 'I can't, they're christians' I guess meaning something about the van being in the way or something. I've got to get to know that girl's parents. They sound like my kind of people. BWAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

It made my day! Now if only I can get this young woman's phone number Tuesday, I won't care who is and who isn't a christian, at least for a few days anyway!
