I just watched a political ad on TV
I have not heard this before. The ad referred to the Republican running for governor of Florida as "a Ronald Reagan Republican that you can trust".

So that's how they are going to distance themselves from Bush. Their going to call themselves "Ronald Reagan Republicans".

Sounds desperate to me.

1. Time to play the St. Ronnie Card?
Wouldn't inspire me, but then I thought Ronnie was the worst President ever, until our recent resident of the White House.

8. It's Crist
Most of his ads are conveying the message that he will carry on with the great leadership skills and the traditions that Jeb Bush has put in place for Florida.

Yecch.

4. One ad says he will continue the great conservative policies of Jeb.
They are all sickening. Against special interest group! That is the new definition of the repub party! Our great school system! Total crap. Florida is just a test tube for the federal policies.

13. that's nothing new
Ronnie cut some taxes by shifting the burden to other taxes and borrowing tons of money. Way to go, Ronnie! But I guess some people like that. Also he happened to be in power when Communism fell, so that's a big plus. Apparently he spent so much money it scared the communists into collapsing. Afghanistan and the reforms of Gorbachev, Lech Walesa and the Pope had nothing to do with it. It was because Ronnie spend alot of money, that's what did it alright.

16. Actually, I've heard Gallagher calling himself the Jeb Bush conservative
I thought Crist was having to use Reagan because he's not as hard-core conservative as Gallagher is.

What a hilarious fight: "I'm more Bush than you are!" "Well, I'm more Reagan!"
