A third food chain is recalling bottled water
The first (Wegman's) was the week before last
The second was Weis Food chain.
Now it is Big M Markets http://www.10nbc.com/news.asp?template=item&story_id=20012

All due to high bromate levels. These recalls are all voluntary since the FDA does little or no testing of bottled water. They rely on the bottled water industry monitoring itself.

These three chains decided to do a recall. Wonder how many others may have the same problem but choose not to act in fear of hurting their bottom lines.

FYI

1. Bottled water has much lower standards than tap.
And is tested much less often (if at all) but the additional health risks of drinking bottled water is compensated by the convience... no thats not right... the price.... no thats not it... Okay I'm lost why again do people buy this stuff?

2. Come try the sewage coming out of the tap here
in Las Vegas and you will understand instantly why people buy this stuff.

3. Here too
Between aerospace facilities pollution of the watertable and crumbling facilities for treatment and distribution we have really smelly yellowish tap water here. I won't give it to the cat.

I get filtered water in refillable containers when I buy my groceries.

4. Vegas water is crap
Let a glass of water evaporate and you have the bottom of the glass with a hard white rock like stuff that is almost impossible to get out. Washing your car is fun too.

7. Advertisement
People think bottled water actually comes from mountain springs or whatever advertising gimick they use.

5. I know I don't like Aquafina
I think it makes my mouth more dry after I drank it than before. I've wondered if they put Alum or something in it to make you more thirsty?

6. Three words "Pur Water Filter"
Of course, you could go with the The BerkeyLight™ Purifier for a more permanent solution.
