1. I'd say that's not an uncommon attitude of MoDo's.
I'm guessing she thinks such things quite often.

3. More:
"The Old King put the Boy King over his knee yesterday and gave him a good thwack with a lobster-shaped paddle.

O.K., that didn’t happen, but don’t you wish it had?

Junior certainly deserves it, with recent attempts to blame his dad for policies that led to 9/11 and the rise of Osama and Middle East terrorism.

As with so many things about this byzantine, Shakespearean relationship between father and son, reunited here at last for a wedding, a christening and a funeral this weekend, it’s an ironic turn of events.

The son was furious when the father was painted as a wimp in the 1988 campaign, and now he and his spinners are painting 41 as a weak leader. W.’s pain at what happened to his aristocratic dad with “the wimp factor” led him to overreact in the other direction when he became president, embracing a West Texas-tough, muscle-bound foreign policy that shunned diplomacy, nuance, compromise, multilateral treaties and allied coalitions as measures that reflected impotence.

And now it has led him to scapegoat his own father, and Bill Clinton, for sending signals of weakness that encouraged the terrorists — even as many Middle East experts say it is W.’s culturally obtuse, diplomatically averse and morally simplistic style that has spurred terrorism and made the world more dangerous."

4.  I am not that fond of Maureen Dowd
Here "analyses" of political issues are some of the most frivolous I have seen....

She speaks with the same degree of contempts about Bushco's war crimes as she does of Al Gore's haircut or "weight gain"....:eyes:
She did such a hatchet job on Gore in 2000...will never forgive her for that. She did her little bit in tarring and feathering a fine presidential candidate. I wonder if she still thinks Gore's "stiffness", "lack of personality/charm" or whatever it is she disliked, were that important.

And she did a similar job on Kerry.

If she had focussed on Gore's environmental stewardship or Kerry's heroic role in the BCCI, Iran-Contra-Cocaine, instead of how they look and talk, she might have ad a better appreciation of them :eyes:

5. Well said. She enjoys her 'bad girl' reputation and puts it's maintenance
above critical and important ananlysis. Frivolous indeed. It's a celebrity culture and many DUers love to hate these clowns that exist to entertain or draw fire. What a waste of ammunition.

8. You too? I will always hold her responsible for making Gore less
appetizing to at least a few readers. She yammered on and on about his looks and particularly his earth tones. Like that made one less presidential than the "golden glow" of someone you might like to go have a beer with. CRIMINY!!! I will never forget or forgive that, either. She's part of the reason we're in this horrible graveyard spiral now - because she helped make Al Gore less appealing and bush moreso. And all the cutesy little parsing she does now will NOT make up for it. She doesn't get away free with me!

7. WHOREEN is the one who needs a spanking
Whoreen is in the same class as Tokyo Rose and Axis Sally. That liar's trail has been clearly documented in Bob Somerby's Daily Howler.

And this is what she deserves :spank:
