Illegal Immigration is bankrupting this country!!
We've already sent thousands of Americans to cross Iraq's borders illegally and thus far it's been at the cost of nearly $8.5 BILLION a month!!

and what does our government do? they send MORE

We can't afford to stay this course of illegal immigration anymore!

2. We have insufficient funding to reform immigration policy.
Edited on Sat Aug-26-06 11:11 AM by Selatius
As it stands, the US government either will not or cannot put more border patrol agents on the border, secure the airports, and secure the seaports/coastline. They're in Iraq instead.

Once that is done, we could tackle the issue of illegal immigration and the exploitative employers who are encouraging this situation, but we can't do that until the nation's territorial integrity is largely secure.

4. It's more like insufficient will
This country is too addicted to its low prices and cheap labor. From the beginning it used immigrants that by today's standards would be called illegals and even back then they weren't well received by the "natives" to produce higher profit.

The root solution is forcing those who exploit them to do Federal time but it'll never happen not whilst the government takes their cut of the operation and while we sit around blaming the immigrants for doing exactly what we would do if we were in their situation.

6. Nothing prevents crackdown on employers except corruption.
The 300 worst corporate employers of illegal alien workers (they're NOT 'immigrants') could be prosecuted under current law. Until the Bushoilinis took over, hundreds of scofflaw employers were prosecuted every year. The Social Security makes it even easier today for employers to validate identity and these cheap-labor exploiters are even more baldly telling legal workers to 'fuck off.'

It's unconscionable.

5. They're stealing high-paid jobs and sending the money home.
They're also importing gangs of thugs, killing people, raping young girls, and destroying property. They won't learn the language and won't abide by local customs. They bribe the local government and break the laws at will. And, they fly the flag of their country while doing so.

Fortunately, the local populace is booting them out.

10. this is an issue Republicans can be whipped on..
Edited on Sat Aug-26-06 11:51 AM by flaminbats
many of the people I know who vote Republican, also scream loudest about this! I pointed out that if Clinton's healthcare plan had passed, nobody could hire workers without providing health insurance. Republicans always respond.."Clinton's plan only rationed healthcare and made doctors into government employees!"

Most of these voters don't support Republicans because they like them, they support Republicans because they believe their lies. Most of these voters want universal healthcare, they only fear socialized medicine might somehow make healthcare even harder to get. Most of these voters don't agree with Republicans on illegal immigration, they fear that Democrats also would do nothing to stop it! Most of these voters don't oppose higher taxes, they only fear the rich will get special treatment. most of these voters don't back this war in Iraq, they only fear that another 9/11 could happen. but with the right message and shredding all those in power who TRULY deserve the blame, Democrats could win this election without a fight.

IMO..if the Republicans manage to win, we only have ourselves to blame! but illegal immigration is needed in Iran

12. Like being a govt employee is a bad thing especially today
Personally until the Republican Crime Family loses their power I don't see how Joe Private Sector worker doesn't go home in fear everynight of being outsourced or laid off not to mention govt wages have met or surpassed ps wages nowadays for the most part.

I agree with your statements btw, the same Republicans who scream the loudest about illegal immigration shop at Wal-Mart religiously and wouldn't dream of ever cleaning their own homes or picking their own goddamn fruit.

13. Hey we said we'd bring democracy to Iraq
We didn't say we'd give them an INS that was any better than ours! This is hugh!!!111 I'm series!!!!!1111111 Those Americans are going to Iraq to steal jobs from the Iraqis! Look how many they've already taken!

They will have to come over to the US and attack us so they won't have to fight us over there!!! Terra! Terra! Terra!

The Iraqis have to do something like build a fence around Iraq and jail employers who employ Americans there illegally and they also should declare Iraqi to be the official language of Iraq!!!!!

When the oil (the jobs) dries up, so will the flood of Amurkans illegally invading our Iraqi borders!!!!!
