Sheriff says, "we believe this is the chee wee hairstyle".
St. Tammany Parish Sheriff Jack Strain is in the news again.
This time he released a sketch:
<http://www.sttammany.com/news-detail/article/780/sheriff-rele.html>
"Asked whether it shows the suspect with dreadlocks or the one with chee wees, Strain said, 'We were betting whether anyone would ask that. Not being (hairstylists), we believe this is the chee wee hairstyle.'"
<http://www.nola.com/news/t-p/frontpage/index.ssf?/base/news-6/1156320166183270.xml&coll=1>

One sketch. Two suspects.

Earlier he made this comment:
"Now I don’t get into calling people names and all that fact, but if you’re gonna walk the streets of St. Tammany Parish with dreadlocks and "Chee Wee" hairstyles, then you can expect to be getting a visit from a sheriff’s deputy."<http://www.authorsden.com/categories/article_top.asp?catid=22&id=22995>

I wonder why there is no sketch of the second suspect?

3. Sounds like a local term
As I have lived all over the country and internationally, some of the local names for things can be quite funny

5. One of those definitions comes from the Sheriff's statement
Funny how corporate media has been unable to or unwilling to have the Sheriff explain or describe a "chee wee" hairstyle.

7. The first definition cites the Sheriff's statement as an illustration, not
as a source for the definition. It's not clear to me where the term originated from. It's quite possible that the name was coined by the same people that wear the hairstyle, isn't it?
