Join Du's Folding@home Team. Help find a cure.
Join the DU folding@home Team. It is an easy way to help your fellow man. All it takes is to download and install a client to your hard drive. All you need to do then is to make it a service (Windows) or a login item (Mac) and it will quietly run in the background. It will not degrade performance, and it secure. The only times it makes contact with the Stanford servers is when uploading data and downloading new data for processing.

For more info go to their home page at:
http://folding.stanford.edu/

Read the info. If you want to take part download the software here:
http://folding.stanford.edu/download.html

If you want, join our team. when you set up your Folding@home client you will see where you can join a team. Type in the number 48157 and that will enroll you. This is not a requirement. You may want to go it solo, or you may want to be part of a team. Your choice. Taking part in this worthy project is what is important.

Here's our team page:
http://vspx27.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/main.py?qtype=teampage&teamnum=48157

Please join us and help find the cure for a host of ills that plague the human species.

Thanks.

1. I'm proud to be part of the team
I'm finishing up a work unit tomorrow morning. It is so easy to do and has the potential to save lives.

3. We are ranked at 200 with 216 CPU's. Imagine where we
would be with maybe 20 more active CPU's.

10. We have to give that race up for now...more important Races ahead.
Edited on Sat Aug-26-06 03:58 PM by mcscajun
We need to double or triple our team members to even Think about catching the Freep team.

Too many folks tightly focused on November. When we see what happens in November, perhaps we can put the FAH on one of the front burners, finally. :)

Something to hope for, and...
More CPUs!!!

14. That's true. Still if we can add a couple more
CPU's we can move up to 190's.

The important thing is doing good for others. Oh and winning in November.

12. That's probably because some are using their business computers
for folding.

18. "Some" indeed. Last time I paid any attention, their top folder had
corralled 100s of his employer's PCs for the effort. And I understand he's not alone in that practice.

6. Well, it doesn't have to use up cycles to display the
graphic interface. I've never tested the difference. Go to the forums or the faq to see if your question is addressed.

26. Team DU #19 checking in
I've only been folding since February, and I've been able to make a decent contribution to DU's Folding@Home team. You can do it too! It takes no effort at all, and it's for a cause that I believe to be 100% in line with our shared values.

Please consider joining the DU Folding@Home team. Do it for your dearly departed, for those you care about who are ill or infirm, and for those who may be one day. Every little bit helps!

K&R!
