Does Bush view himself as your President?
Whenever someone says "Bush is not my President", a reply usually will be "Bush is your President, whether you like it or not". But, for once let's take a look at this from another angle, the angle of **.

Do you really think that Bush views himself as the President of all Americans?

Or does Bush view himself as the President of the Conservative Power Elite in this country?

Or does he view himself as being in it for the sole purpose of making the Bush Family (and their cohorts) more powerful?

Whatever it is, Bush sure doesn't seem as though he serves ALL Americans.

3. You beat me to it
He's come out and said he views working Americans as a bunch of ten year old children. He's the DADDY, the authority figure, the leader without whom we would all be totally lost.

If he looks arrogant it's because he is arrogant.

2. He certainly acts as if he sees himself as president of his base...
and screw everyone else raw.

Arguably his greatest lie of all has been the "uniter, not a divider" line.

5. he definitely does not see himself as in service to us....to do
what's best for us. he doesn't give a shit about us or america. he gives a shit about himself and his buds and about their empire they are trying to create. every step they take is in that direction, and they couldn't care less about how many millions of people they crush to get there.

6. He certainly doesn't seem himself as MY president...

Vietnam veteran = too stupid (or poor) to avoid the draft
Gay = vile and immoral by choice
Liberal = wants to take away all my hard-earned money and power!
Democrat = socialist
Works for a living = peasant

And I reciprocate the sentiment 300%! He is not now, never has been, and never will be my president.

no matter what name he or we give it... he has absolute power right now and hopefully he will reliquish it when his term is up.

11. You are unfortunately right.
He is not our president. He was appointed illegally and stole votes to get to where he is.

We don't exist for him as he doesn't need us to stay in power and make money.

12. Go ahead and rant on this. Just don't be pissed when repugs
insist your guy/gal is never THEIR president. Being in the military until 1997, I remember some real angst regarding Bill Clinton. A very few got out of line, (One 2-star general was fined & retired for describing Mr. Clinton as a dope smoking, draft-dodging womanizer) but the other 99.99999% served him as faithfully as Reagan who was pretty much loved by those in uniform.

If we are really a nation, then we have ONE president at a time, period. Whether or not you love, hate, agree, disagree, he/she is YOUR President.

And I don't care about the politics of it, but I'll never side with another country against our President no matter how I personally feel about the individual.

(We also have some "former" presidents running around, but they have no official standing unless appointed to a task by the current president. They are just private citizens with a good pension & health care.)

18. What a very odd thing to say
"...but I'll never side with another country against our President no matter how I personally feel about the individual."

Who said anything about "siding with another country against the President"? Name one instance anywhere on this site that has ever hinted or stated outright that anyone here would side with another country against this administration - as sad and dismally ineffective as it is?

Please explain as I consider what you are implying tin that statement as personally highly insulting and inflammatory.

15. He is the President of everyone who agrees with him.
Everyone else is an enemy.

17. he most certainly does not see himself as MY president--the woman-hating
anti-choice bastard that he is. and I most certainly do not see him as MY president, either. he has not done one single thing while soiling the oval office with his presence that represents ME, and I am pretty sure he won't in the time remaining to him, either.

876 days, I believe??
