Sheehan frightened Republicans, letterwriter claims!
From todays Austin American Statesman:

Sheehan has more rights?

Re: Aug. 25 letters to the editor, "Sad state of affairs" and "Hardy har har."

It is always amusing to me when people who were not in attendance at an event have strong opinions about what happened. Somehow, the Cindy Sheehans of the world have more rights than the rest of us. She has the right to gather 70 or so protesters and invade a private dinner. She has the right to force her way into the lobby and restaurant of a hotel and frighten hotel guests minding their own business. She has the right to scream to the press when police officers stop her people from climbing over walls and forcing their way into a private dinner.

Hard-working, tax paying Republicans have rights, too. The ignorant comments about Jerry Patterson in one of the letters is a prime example of people talking about things they know nothing about. Patterson has done more than most to help our men and women in Iraq — I guarantee that he has done more than the writer.

2. Republicans are pussies frightened of middle-aged ladies?
I thought they were only afraid of actual military service and combat.

5. Oh, please, they're afraid of EVERYTHING
something that is at the core of the GOP psyche. They're especially afraid of anyone who suggests change, who counters their stupid ideas, who tells them they're WRONG about something.

Fear makes them very angry.

7. You know, they really are!
It must be terrible to run around and be terrified of everything. These folks are actually concerned that terrorists are planning to come to East Jesus, Texas and blow them up. Unbelievable...

11. Cindy has the right as a paying guest not to be corraled
behind a free speech zone half a mile from the event. Bottom line: they took her money, they can't prevent her from entering the hotel.
