I feel all governments are doomed to become kakistocracies. It's the nature of the games people play that does it. Some governments might not start out that way, although I am sure some governments were full of shit heads from the start. Remember that old saw, all that is needed for evil to triumph is for the good people to do nothing? I thought about that, and asked ... what makes the good do nothing?

Is there not one good person left in the government?

I am calling out for that ONE person in the Government, The ONE with their inner locus of control firmly in their own possession, who can defy this bully cabal, on principle and in practice ... that ONE person left in government with a brain in her/his head, who is not incompetent, who cannot tolerate the intolerance all around her/himself ... Are you out there?

I'm calling for that one person with enough understand of the evils in political reality, ready to do what needs to be done, a person with a sane sense of respect for human rights, including his/her own rights, who realizes that under tyranny no one is free, not even the tyrant. A person who realizes that if the people lose their rights his/her own might be next ... if the emperor should get a whim or a word from a more trusted advisor than himself/herself, or that the so-called voice of god in the fool's head might ask the wannabe king to kill him/her and he would be so fucked with a capital F for no other reason than because the tyrant who has none rise up to tell him "no, you cannot DO that" screamed off with his/her head? And what to loyal sheep with no heart or courage do in a situation like that, they say ... regrettably, you were a good public servant in MY opinion, but ... or dude, I can't help you now (without risking MY ass) but ... I really do like you and I think you're innocent (spoken behind closed doors of course) as they sharpen the guillotine blade that will kill their friend for herr hated fuhrers good pleasure.

I feel a lot like Lot (the biblical one not Trent) trying to spare Sodom and Gomorrah from the angry despot hetero sexist asshole Yahweh's 'wrath' ... I sit here in my basement shaking my queer kitty head, and I wonder to myself ... WHY is there not ONE human being with a lion's courage, a working brain, a tender heart hurting for the hurting, and an unshakable respect for human rights for all, and a love of freedom for all people who also UNDERSTANDS the constitution? Is anyone like this, left in this government?

But like Lot and that evil-hearted queer-bashing god, I cry out, for justice too. Desiring to spare the citizens of my country and myself a grievous harm, from a tyrant with too much power. But unlike Lot, I seek to spare the righteous ones for a different reason. In the White House a chimpy little boy is playing god, a government apparatus threatens me with tyranny, and do I get an answer? Yes but it is not from the heavens, it is from the government itself. Their hypocrisy and cowardice. And I realize, No there is not one decent human being who respects liberty and hates tyranny left in this government. It is a full blown hierarchical game and cancerous kakistocracy.

A few Senators will say on C-SPAN how the shit the Republicans are pulling on the American people is wrong, lamenting about how they do not want to support this appointee or that bill, yet they still VOTE for which they called wrong, and they DO THE WRONG THING repeatedly. Why?

They too often obey the will of the corrupt bullies despite what they themselves say about it being wrong. WTF?? Why? Is it because they are all a bunch of grubby hypocrites who do not care about the constitution or human rights and only pretend they do? Are they corrupt bullshitters and pretending they are not really so evil with their mealy mouths? Or is it something else?

And I cry out in fear in my vulnerable state in this state that has grown hostile to me and mine. I scream for want of justice and fairness and to be treated as a human being, too and for an end to this despot's thievery of my rights and freedoms.

But ... no fire from the sky rains down upon the evil people making this kakistocracy. Bush will not sign for more money for the war, unless he can torture people when he commands it.

Not even a meteor falls in Washington as a reply ... to my furious tears. Nobody dares to stand up in the congress and step out of line, speaking truth to power. No secret agent man kills off the neocons and makes it look accidental. Yet we all know what happened to Paul Wellstone, and what party got all of the Anthrax letters a few years ago.

I am really beginning to think there is no justice in this world until more people decide if they want it. And they haven't made up their minds yet. I can't fathom WHY.

If the Roman Coliseum, The Aztec empire, the Crusades, the Witch burnings, the Trail of Tears, and Hitler didn't convince them tyranny is dangerous, I have no clue what will convince them to become vigilant and strike out against corruption of power.

Meanwhile the corrupt consolidate power while the good people do NOTHING.

Until the millions of bystanders stop standing around wringing their hands as atrocity after scandal unfolds in front of their eyes and they murmur but for the grace of god Go I they identify themselves with the corrupt and refuse to fight back ... They tolerate tyranny and criminality and tsk tsk those of us who cannot tolerate tyranny or abuses of power as if we are the bigots because we will not pretend all bullies deep down are good people like us.

Are people capable of standing up for their own behalf like human beings, will there be justice done before the gas chambers are set up? Do we have to wait until we have had everything around us destroyed by these enchanting assholes to have the guts to say, Hey tyrant, get off that throne, and off with your head!?

Do people really understand that protecting OUR human rights, peace, fairness equality and freedom, are INALIENABLE RIGHTS, and it depends on each of us to do our part? Our inalienable human rights are reinforced and made real only by our own ACTIONS against tyrants who would subvert them. If we do nothing, well as the saying goes, Evil triumphs.

Sadly, I fear the kind of hands on action needed to stop this juggernaut of authoritarian Napoleonic sickness might be a bit beyond the People's capacity now.

I fear they refuse to admit the danger of extending unearned trust and power to corrupted abusers of trust and power. From appearances it looks as if the power of the tyrants is so fortified, so wealthy, they control so much of our lives and media, and we depend upon their corporations, the military so weaponized, and these pigs are well-guarded by so many scared loyal worker bees and so well spoken of by mouthpieces who sold their souls, yammering to the true believers with their minds gone blindly defending the evil people they want to call good.

I dunno what to do about anything now. I wait for the boot to start stomping on my face forever.

A billion little everyday battles are not fought, in organizations, and I guess it begins to add up. A wage cut there, a benefit lost, a vacation denied, a tax cut for the wealthy, a cut in Medicare ...

And I realize corrupted authority is allowed in so many places, and that it is not checked in a billion relationships, in a billion social institutions and homes. The nature of unchecked power is to concentrate itself, and over time that concentration of power through the crony network leads to purges of good people with ethics, who would not play the corrupt way, and that leads to tyranny in the highest places. A Kakistocracy.

Because tolerance of lower tyrannies in effect give permission for the tyrants to aim higher, and so higher they went, greasing palms, lying their asses off, and scratching backs and stabbing the lower ranks, up the good ole, do nothing ranks ... Bullies doing what they do because joe blow decided the battle for corporate integrity in his organization was better pretended to be not there.

So joe blow looked the other way, when bob asshole got an undeserved promotion from a good schmooze buddy over at central. And next thing you know Bob is being court marshaled for stealing retirement funds.

And Joe knew he was a corrupt shit, and he looked the other way. He let power be abused. Now his coworkers are shafted. And he keeps his mouth shut out of shame and cowardice... Fancy that.

And isn't this schmooze crap exactly how bush put in his incompetent buddy boy Brown as FEMA director? That incompetent horse's ass got his position by sucking the right asses all the way up the chain of command. But remember, it also took all those heads looking the other way by the very people who KNEW Brown was an incompetent, and unworthy to run FEMA. This game of make believe has led to the countless deaths of innocent American citizens during Hurricane Katrina!

So YOUR decisions on what battles to fight when it comes to corrupt power really can impact others lives, literally!

Next I wonder if changes in culture that happens for the better can stay good without implicit and personal understanding that freedom for all of us begins with each of us. That to really have a better life for all requires all of us to practice INTOLERANCE of abusers of power, to shun cronyism, reject and shame the authority seeking incompetents?

What happened to the hate of the tyrant next door, in the boardroom or bedroom? What stopped the shaming of the bully, the exposure of the con man, the ousting of the theocracy, the destruction of the sociopath, the confinement of the rapist, the execution of the war criminal & torturer, and disobedience and disregard of the dominator and the outright disgust and disdain for all abusers of trust, exploiters of the human condition, the users of our weakness, ignorance, fear, disadvantage, venerability hope and trust among a billion other exploitable things. What made us sell our soul to avoid making waves and shaming the corrupt?

Is it because on some deep level at least concerning our government a lot people truly believe our time to act against these slime balls has long past? It is because too many people in order to confront by-standing they have to admit they too have sold our collective freedom away in order to trust "leaders" to do the job THEY should have done ... ? Do we regret we "pick our battles" and "not get involved" or "mind their own business" if so why do we keep doing it? Have Americans in effect chosen by their INACTION to tolerate tyranny? Instead of standing up for civility and integrity for themselves taking the risk of doing the right thing even when others are too cowardly or dirty to do it?

Trusting smooth talking leaders who lead us to slaughter, is easy because no one sees what motivates them anymore. Is the drive of bystanders cowardice, fear and Stockholm syndrome? A dissonance from cultural coercion and the dog eat dog beliefs that excuses acquiescence to the demands of denial they upon us?

Is the tolerance and acquiescence to incompetent authority partly what creates the dissonance inside a person that keeps them from acting on their conscience, when choosing between right and wrong. A conflict of interest dividing the heart of humans with a conscience and rendering them ineffective to stop corrupt people in organizations?

I ask,
What wife beater beats his girlfriend to a bloody pulp on the first date? What wife beater asks her when he is done, if she wants to be beat up for 20 more years?

Hell no,

The abuse comes incrementally, by conditioning the victim to TOLERATE it. First he creates an illusion about himself with charisma and charm. He is so wonderful, good looking, considerate and so entertaining. Her friends express envy. Soon a fantasy grows in the mind of the victim that is so alluring and fake yet it becomes so desired for it drowns out the abuse hurled at her, for awhile.

Every smack creates dissonance. She hides from the reality she covers up with make-up, the game of make believe must not die lest she realize she has been victimized. Her friends don't know, they still wistfully look to a fantasy man that is not real. and the illusion looks complete.

So this is why after beating a victim an asshole abuser recreates the lie, he cranks up the charm and recreates the desired for person that is a LIE so the victim who so wants to believe, who has invested so much, accepts the dream ... and forgets.

For if she remembers, he will lose his punching bag and loyal dehumanized servant and he goes to prison. Did we as a culture choose to pretend an illusion created by evil hearted corrupt people that they are not so bad to us? Does the illusion look more unbreakable because the corruption is overlooked by everyone else too?

Why is it the corruption and incompetence above us gets so overlooked? Why do we accept lies and pretend? A fantasy lived by an entire nation. This fact of a huge denial system running our lives, is never clearly defined, never quite articulated, maybe because we all co created it, and it is being exploited. and we are ashamed ... the corrupt exploit us all the more as we turn our heads away or decide that fight is not worth it. The human shit round us floats to the top where we all want to be, and because we long for the perks power brings we tell each other it does not stink.

Corruption in an organization or home can effect the well being of people you never thought it could if it goes on un-confronted. Confronted or not shit always Stinks and it stinks up the air, it spreads infection, and it needs to be scooped and flushed away lest it make us all sick with it's presence. Some people are shit in a human suit. And they lack the conscience to be ashamed of their stench and the way they sicken others ...

Now we are being led to accept the sweet smelling stench of another turd, of theocratic fascism. In that tension and dissonance of choices again we freeze and falter, and too often fail to fight, fail to see, fail to protect each other, while the corrupt shake us down and by time we get our emotional bearings on what is happening we wonder Why?

I'll tell you why: Every man is responsible for checking the corruption of every other man with everyone else to make sure all is well and fair with the use of power. If you by-stand while abuse goes on and YOU know about it, you should be ashamed of yourself ...

Everyone is responsible to know to not be tolerant of tyrants, taking advantage and grabbing power around themselves. But we are taught from day one to suppress our natural conscience by bullies and traumas, so we play games of make believe to survive.

We all are supposed to watch each others backs and be there for each other and fight for each other 's decency and stand up for higher principles. We are supposed to WALK our TALK ... and say what we mean and do what we say.

Sadly it seems only the corrupt people protect each others these days and they can spin it until evil looks righteous because good hearted people don't know rhetoric when they hear it anymore ... The decent people too often sell out to corruption and by-stand, will not support a courageous soul whistle-blowing against incompetence corruption, bullying or some other abuse.

Everyone who has a conscience and can feel guilt and is capable of empathy is responsible for watching out for each other's well being. We are all in this world together. We of conscience need to be there for each other. Regardless.

Unless the person in question is a tyrant, bully or corrupt. Because charismatic selfish megalomaniacs are not respectful of others rights, and lack moral integrity, they must do their schemes in secret, form networks(gangs) of immoral supporters, stupid patsies, and well bribed yes men and fortify their "power" with illusions that generate cognitive dissonance in observers when you see the false image the bully creates with the accusations or attack from people who are angry victimized, hurt or just disgusted by their predatory self serving social games.

By clever manipulation of language and the heartless use of human vulnerability and the exploiting of the mind's natural way of reacting to traumas. The tyrants around us deliberately creates a "culture for company" on purpose ...

Bullies actively recruit their "posse" via schmoozing, lies, popularity and charisma. The posse are loyal people tyrants use as his extended eyes. hands and fists. , and he loyalty tests them/ The tyrant looks for his mark, plays he said she said crap, to see how far they will go in believing his side ... And the loyal tolerate quite a bit of shit out of an organizational asshole as long as the fantasy image in the loyal patsies heads of what they want this abusive person to be overrides WHAT he really IS.

If the enchantment is swallowed intact, the responsibility will be denied, and the loyal person is a deployable agent for his master ... as long as master doesn't cross a line inside the person's character that would make the game of make believe collapse and that mask of sanity fall off and they are seen for the asshole they are. That is why bullies try to lower people's character standards and try to get them to compromise on their ethics. Image is everything to tyrants and the followers of tyrants. Until reality intrudes.

And what does a loyal believer in their own fantasies get in return for playing along with this make believe game? A loyal coward finds a haven in not being held responsible to everyone else ... he limits his obligations and responsibilities (as authority defines it for him) to pleasing his "superiors" and advancing in the social rank(cronyism) system that is nested in the chain of command, that is always there ... be it in the military, a company, a church, or a gang ... it is a dual faced hierarchical structure and it ALWAYS works to enrich, insulate, prop up, and protect the most popular, flattering, deceptive, two faced, evil, arrogant, incompetent, irresponsible tyrannical self serving asshole on top ...

All organizational structures are crowned by shit heads when tyranny is tolerated in the lower ranks and the lower ranks forget THEY are who truly hold the power and all authority IS an empty sound. The game of hiding from self responsibility inside a hierarchy is one place cowardly by-standing people do not have to think with forethought and consider how their actions and the impacts of their OBEDIENCE to authority ... has on others all around.

So if they believe they are not held responsible for the way their obedience and cowardice in the face of corrupted authority effects LIFE around them ... they just do their job and stay out of it, , because someone else is supposed to think of that and do the job they are not doing anyway ...

And so hypocritical empire arise protecting the shittiest of all, on the living Earth, from those little people with a clear conscience who would limit their reach, and stop their crimes. So as long as we as individuals choose to ignore corruption in power in any social arrangement and let the corrupt people's asses be covered by the more ethical, patsies who would rather not say anything ... to not make waves. The LIE causes us pain inside our private hearts.

We all suffer because we need each other. When we go against our conscience when we tolerate the tyrants, the bullies control freaks, corrupt and incompetents we hurt ourselves and each other ...

Sure we need a job, a home, a lover or a government but how much tolerance of tyranny is this worth? How long can we as a society collectively deny this game of make believe is not happening and deny that it has bad effects on our relationships or institutions? What is the catalyst that makes people stop playing make believe, and decide to stand up and fight against what they KNOW is WRONG? Fight against what they know hurts them in the organizations they work for? It is as varied as we are. And that is the problem Too many people have become moral relativists, without realizing it ... From our contact with traumas and corrupted asshole people, coercion from the game of make believe has slowly lowered our ethical standards as human beings and we no longer can remember or decide where to draw the line. And We suffer and wonder why the good die young?

I had this talk with a guy ... a few days ago He was telling me to basically stop caring so much about stuff like this. He said it in roundabout terms. As if he was concerned about my well being, I feel he was put off by my intensity and my clear decisions about where I choose to stand ethically.

He told me his bosses' boss was an incompetent, and everyone under him knows it too.

So I asked him why do you all tolerate such incompetence out of this jackass if it hurts the organization? Why not confront the incompetent boss and call him out in front of all the others who agree with you? Gather evidence, present the evidence in a meeting, and shame the fuck out of him. If they are all wimps and won't stand up, why not gaslight the asshole until he quits?

He just chuckled ... and said I knew nothing about workplace politics.

I said dude, I am serious, if this jackass is causing that much strife at work, why tolerate it and why not cause a scene? You got skills you can get a better job if the asshole exonerates himself. Is all this stress worth it? Speaking truth to power can get messy, but keeps the corrupt and incompetent checked out of power so they cannot harm the organization. After all corrupted authority only has the power YOU give it with your tolerance of it's tyrannical intolerance. Right?

And I observed him ... and it kinda reminded me of a battered wife, situation. The parallels were striking.

You can say to a battered wife, (or battered employee) why not leave the asshole beating the shit out of you? And strangely defying all logic and sanity she still stays with him for reasons like hoping he will change, etc. After 3 years of Friday night beatings later she leaves him not because she hates him but because she fears for her life.

And all those red flags 3 years ago and ever since were deemed not important enough to act on, to pay attention to, why? Is it because she did not want to see what kind of dangerous asshole she was dealing with? So she plays make believe until it got too dangerous to keep it up? Is it because of another reality that lives in her own head ...

A dream that he was someone else, someone different, someone she saw glimpses of when they first dated, that she saw as he tried to coax her into staying with him longer?

In effect to get out of an abusive situation the victim has got to realize she is playing make believe, she's in love with a man that never was that she is projecting it onto a monster that is so she can survive ... and that strategy just might kill her if it goes unquestioned for too long. And all the while the abuser lives like a tyrant and king at her expense as long as she will not face him as he is.

So I asked this guy,
What would be the tipping point for you to stand up and say enough is enough with this fool than?? How much bullshit will you take out of this pompous incompetent ass? Do you have to lose your job or lose the company? When is enough enough for you? Would you take a demotion for this shit head? He was quiet ... suddenly he started waxing poetic on the positives of his incompetent boss that no more than ten minutes ago he said was incompetent, to the point of making his job stressful ... (I got a chill down my spine)

In him I saw. those parallels. He was talking just like a battered wife in the emergency room confronted by a EMT about the dangers of domestic abuse, a cop asking if she wants to press charges. Like a battered wife saying "oh he's a good man he just gets a little pissed off sometimes, he really is kind you don't know him ... yadda yadda ... "(and I felt a wave of nausea.)

Than I asked him,
Could it be your threshold of tolerance for abuse of power is set way too high?

Why do you think that is? Is it really just a case of not picking your battles, are you a nit picker really, or is it fear of coercion, and the fear of getting shit canned, or is it some other kind of cultural conditioning, or your own beliefs that are fucking around with your inner locus of control and your conscience? It's as question worth asking. I think our whole world should be asking this question.

He didn't say anything.

He changed the subject.
