OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma (AP) -- A U.S. Airways jet flying to North Carolina was diverted to Oklahoma City after an air marshal subdued a passenger involved in an incident with a flight attendant, an airline spokesman said.

Law enforcement officers were questioning the passenger after the jet landed at Will Rogers World Airport, said Morgan Durrant, a U.S. Airways spokesman. He did not disclose the nature of the problem between the passenger and the flight attendant.

The Airbus A321, which left Phoenix at 6:15 a.m., was to resume its flight to Charlotte, Durrant said. There were 141 people including crew members on board.

Also Friday, an American Airlines flight from Manchester, England, to Chicago was diverted to Bangor, Maine, for security reasons, authorities said.

11. Thank goodness we won't be fighin' 'em over here...
...or else we'd have all sorts of security scares grounding flights and pre-boarding hassles of children and old women and "guilty until proven innocent" assumptions for everybody.

12. exactly so!
Everybody is so jumpy about it that if you look sideways on a flight, they put the plane down at the nearest airport.

Is this part of the American character, to be so afraid? I never thought so before, but it seems that the Brits and others who've been terror victims are much braver.

7. I hope the "terrorists" take the week-end off.
I'm flying to St. Louis for a wedding tomorrow.

Then I can come back Tuesday to a probable hurricane in the Gulf.

10. This is to be expected.
We had better act scared and in need of our gov't's protection or I'm sure they'll have something bigger to sufficiently scare us. Ridiculous.
