Bush says we'll fight terror until we win. Okay, how are we going know?
When we destroy their cities? (which ones?)

When they lay down their arms? (who are 'they'?)

When they surrender? (who is terror? OBL is a person of non-interest according to Bush)

This whole "war" is nothing but an excuse for the military industrial complex and PNAC to fill their coffers and the American public has shown their innate ability to be stupid with an attitude. It's time to turn up the heat (again).

PLEASE! If anyone in the WH press corp reads this, the next time Scottie references "winning the war on terror," ask him how are we going to know when that happens?

When the last "evil" thought is thought? When we're all dead?

2. The war on terror will be over when
we get those nutjobs out of the White House, out of our House and Senate, off the SCOTUS bench, and in jail where they belong.

6. I think the idea...
...is it's over when El Presidente for Life Chimpenfuhrer Booosh says it's over.

And he's already said that it won't be over in our lifetimes.

That suggests to me that he may not be planning to vacate the White House in '08. After all, if he can suspend the 4th Amendment and the rest of the Constitution at will, as well as any law passed by Congress or legal decision from the courts -- well, why should he worry about pesky elections and the 23rd Amendment and all that?

We're at war! It's special! New, improved enemies who lurk!

7. Never. There is no possible way to realistically claim "victory".
One can fake it however when an election rolls around.

reason he has not been found yet.

These greedy money-hungry bastards will keep it up until all America's coffers are empty. (IMHO)

10. If you replace "war on terror" with "war on citizens" then
fighting the war until it's won means until:

* Citizens have lost all constitutional rights

* Prisons expand to such an extent that entire economic sectors can be supported by (cheap to free) prison labor, provided by debtors and low level drug offenders

* Education is completely reduced to "socialization" and devoid of any dangerous thought

* Christofascism completely circumscribes the behavior of the people, becoming its own sharia

* Every movement, purchase, thought and feeling can be traced through electronic means

* Private property becomes a luxury for the super rich who can acquire any remaining middle class property through the recent eminent domain ruling

* Corporate feudalism is complete, with corporations governing every aspect of people's lives including the genes in their body which will be patented

* Government becomes a way for the rich to bestow and withhold privileges (which they will call rights), and the idea of a government deriving its legitimacy from the consent of the governed will be an ancient concept from the "bad old days"

That's how we will know.

13. Great post, and I really fear you may be closer to the truth than anyone
would like to admit.

We're fucked?

I believe we are if the status quo stays the same. But it's not too late to change things. It will take effort and money. are we willing? I really don't know but worry because so many Dems are bought as easily as the repugs.

to even begin to fight all this. It's hard to even pray as the Christofacists have coopted God.

Bush and his big money pals want to hold onto alot of wealth and resources. Like Hussein, they know that sometimes you have to use force to prop up an unjust system.

16. We don't. That's the whole point.
The war on terror lasts forever. The absence of terrorist attacks on US soil can NEVER be construed as victory, because there might always be such an attack in the future.

It's brilliant, in its own way. Sick, and potentially the end of human civilization as we know it, but brilliant.

C ya,

The Plaid Adder

18. no one knows..........
it's kind of like the Iraq war. They decided they wanted to declare war to get rid of 1 man, Saddam. Ok, so they did that but there was never any planning beyond that. There was no strategy for the occupation, for dealing with the insurgency and there was also no plan for an end to that war.

Bush says we'll stay there until we have victory but there are no specific details on what a victory would look like!

Remember last year, every time you'd turn on the news Bush was saying 'we've turned a corner, we've turned a corner'. I remember someone saying that we've turned a corner so many times, at this point, we're just going around in a circle!!

There you go, straight from the (non)AnswerMan, Scott McClellan! It will "end" when the Preznit chooses to end it.

Who knew "we" could end it whenever we want? Now would be a good time.

24. Bush Considers Himself "Saviour"
He is NOT! A Saviour does not oppress, depress, nor possess his own people.
"A wise ruler scatters the wicked".
Bush GATHERS the wicked.
