It seems that Hillary "Spawn of Satan" Clinton has held a fund raiser for Ned Lamont at her home.

My friends, we have been had! Lamont has allowed himself to be sucked into the evil web that is Hillary Clinton.

I'm sure that with her voodoo powers, she has turned Lamont into a DLC robot!!

We should have seen this coming!!! We're DOOMED!!! DOOMED I TELLS YA!!!

8. No, the pressure has been on since McCain moved left of her a couple
of days ago...This is her way of saying I hear you critics.

I am happy that McCain and her and many others are finally catching up with the American people. This is a good sign overall.

15. If you knew anything about McCain, you wouldn't say that.
Left of Clinton? The only thing McCain is left of is Falwell. He's a loyal Bushbot--even if he once in awhile says something marginally interesting, he never actually does anything.

7. Feinting left, more likely.
When she takes an actual stand against the war, then she'll be moving left.

5. There are other Senate seats up this year. Work for them
We don't need CT, we need Senate seats. Any states will do. Concentrate on other places. CT is being used as a diversion. There are some GOP Senators at risk in many places. Support the DEM candidates ALL over the nation. Don't get lost in the morass the tool has made of CT.

6. See? SEE??
It's all part of "The Plan". The secret evil Hillary plan.

The entire Clinton admin has been a huge RIGHT wing plot.

Hillary: Goldwater voter???

Goldwater: Is he REALLY dead?????

12. Thinkin more 'Rove & Mehlman Plan'
They know the GOP candidates sure as hell can't run on their records. Gotta divert attention from the races we could really hit them in, like Montana for instance.

Conrad Burns is a corporate whore, and a cheap one at that. He sits on a lot of important committees. For some of Burns' transgressions, visit the Montana Forum, scan threads I stated about Burns. He is at risk.

Check out Jon Tester. Link at my sig line. ;)

10. No wonder I got this reply!
I went to Lamont's website and in the contact section asked if he could show his support for a like-minded candidate in a neighboring state...Tasini in NY.

This is the reply I received:

Hi ____,

I am very sorry, but I believe Ned is going to stay out of this for now . ..

Thanks,

Kim Hynes

Scheduler, Lamont for Senate
_____

Guess they knew all along that there would be mutual support...Clinton for Lamont, ergo Lamont for Clinton. I'm finding the entire process disgusting.

11. It's very discouraging.
Clinton gets to keep her mouth shut and steal some of Lamont's antiwar luster for herself. Thus, Tasini's message and challenge to her get drowned out by the roar of her starpower.

14. You're really not happy with anyone who can win, are you?
It's not enough that Lamont pulled off a near miracle in CT, but now you're going to hold your breath until you turn blue unless he supports someone who's going to get sliced up like a side of beef?

18. You're obviously misssing the point
I just refuse to support a pro-war candidate...it's that simple. Tasini is not pro-war, Lamont is not pro-war, Clinton is pro-war. I thought that the two anti-war candidates may want to support each other. Guess not, and that is what I find so discouraging.

17. I was wondering when the attacks on Lamont (from the left)
would start here on DU...

It's been less than two weeks?

Sounds about right.

Just a suggestion that two like-minded candidates may wish to support each other.

21. Seems a little quick to me, but there are always outliers...
Give it another week for the attacks to start in earnest. Money says that as soon as he makes a compromise on any issue, he'll be a "DLC enabler"...

20. this is not necessarily a bad thing in my opinion
he raises money, and the ct. moderates & indys who like hilary will see who she is supporting and, in turn, throw their support over to lamont along with their november votes.

this could be a smart move on his part (and of course, it benifits hillary too)

24. Hillary is simply being herself IMO...
Edited on Fri Aug-25-06 07:50 PM by SaveElmer
There is no evidence that she is not a committed member of the Democratic Party, or is anything but fully committed to Democratic candidates...and any notion that she would not support those candidates is simply the random speculation of those inclined to criticize her no matter what she does...

These critics build up unwarranted doubts about her commitment, and then feign surprise when she acts contrary to those doubts. And unable to cricticize the action, these "doubters" fall back on criticizing her motivation. Speculation with no more evidence to back it up than the original.

26. The Wind changes direction,
and those blown by the wind follow.

The Democratic Party is a BIG TENT, but there is NO ROOM for those
who advance the agenda of THE RICH (Corporate Owners) at the EXPENSE of LABOR and the POOR.
