An interesting "American" story I encountered this evening...

I went to pick up a pizza and there were a couple of Mexican construction workers, at least they appeared to be construction workers, in front of me. One of them went outside to have a smoke while the other paid for their food to go. The cashier told him it was going to be $18 dollars and change. He gave the cashier a $100 dollar bill. The cashier told him they couldn't take that large of a bill. So the guy goes to the door and hollers at his buddy for a smaller bill. :) At least, I think that is what he was saying. When he came back, the cashier told him they would be able to take it after all. But, I thought it was interesting. Maybe they were documented and maybe they were not. But they were working hard for their money. They looked like an American "success" story to me. But I know the arguments about taking jobs from Americans that may need them...

it's the scumbags that employ them for less than the going rate, treat them like shit, threaten them with La Migra if they step out of line and complain about being treated like shit, and knows they will never unionize and demand their rights.

Put the focus where it belongs.
