3. Actually, even those who think he should be courts martialled

for the classic "failure to obey a direct order" might still be hoping for an acquittal on the basis that the order was illegal.

But you'd need the trial to get to that point.

It's unlikely they're just gonna say "Aw, never mind, be on your way..."
