as in taken by the government in some way. I'm starting to fully believe that if things progress on their current course that I won't be able to remain, I don't want to say silent because I certainly haven't been that, but obedient to all the new laws (and some old ones that I don't obey anyway) that will eventually further strangle our liberties and privacies. I don't have enough money to fight the good legal fight, I only have a brain and a voice but I fear that will even be loud enough someday for them to decide I'm worthy of charges of sedition. Some folks on other discussion boards already do think that of most of us more than likely.

So, who is going to join me in our shiny new detention centers? Any future or current dissidents care to stand and be counted for Agent Mike?

There are days that I wonder if they're monitoring everything--
including liberal blogs and boards--to make lists of everyone
with opposing viewpoints.

My husband said something interesting. He said, "If I was Karl
Rove or one of those other evil bastards, I'd start progressive
boards and blogs just to draw them in and get them talking.
I'd know who they were and their IPs, and those against me

So, I got that going for me. Which is nice.

I think they're a lot wacko, and melodramatic as all get out. Even if it's true, one can't live life obsessing about. It's more important to work toward making sure such things never come to pass. And that's one reason the 2006 elections are so important.

live like it's 1850. Unless they swoop in all of a sudden in the middle of the night. My family survived WWII in Paris without one soul taken... Grandma got the weekly visits from the SS, though. We will sell everything and leave the country if a Republican takes the next election (presuming there is a next election). Otherwise I expect we will disapear.
