Fuck you, CNN, you war-loving fear-mongers!
So, CNN has a show to promote called "Know Your Enemy - In the Footsteps of bin Laden." Yesterday, they had a poll asking if people thought that bin Laden was planning another attack on the US. Naturally, it was 85% yes, 15% no. What do these terror-lovers do? They present this poll as if it was news!
"Poll - Most Think bin Laden Planning New Attack."

Fuck you, CNN and all of your goddamn stock-holders and advertisers! May you slimeballs rot in hell!!

WE KNOW THE ENEMY - YOU ARE THE ENEMY!!! (of all that used to be decent and right about this country!)

1. The amazing thing is what does it matter if Americans think bin Laden
is planning another attack? It only matters if bin Laden thinks he is planning another attack.

Based on what? It doesn't say these Americans have any reason to think bin Laden is planning another attack, or not, or is even alive.

2. Yeah, it is kind of surreal ...
Edited on Thu Aug-24-06 09:32 AM by ShortnFiery
Well, let me ask myself a few questions to determine if Osama bin Laden is MY ENEMY:

Am I from the M.E.? NO!

Do I wish to EVER visit a Country in the M.E.? NO!

Do I practice either the Jewish or Muslim faiths ... background ... culture? NO!

If I had the opportunity to influence our USA legislators, would I insisted that we develop alternative energy resources? YES!

------------------
Gee, I don't think Bin Laden gives a damn about ME, in particular, or the BASIC average USA citizen, one each, in general.

Perhaps we (USA Military and Corporate Contractors) should consider NOT OCCUPYING the M.E.? Wow, that's quite a simple concept. Why do you think it doesn't come into play? :P

5. Good one... You'll like this blog entry...
Even though she's local to the Illinois Tenth Congressional District, Ellen writes some really great, poignant stuff. Her entry today goes right along with your tag line...

Dear Scared People
I opened a little dark chocolate Dove candy this evening (only 60 calories!) and the inside of the foil wrapper said "Be fearless." I thought of you. You know who you are, the folks who check the terror alert every day, no longer fly, support Kirk because you believe war is the only real support for Israel, and boost Bush's poll numbers every time there is a supposed terror threat. You are the folks who are willing to accept republican (Iraq War Party) plans to deport parents of children who are US citizens and to single out gays for discrimination because it may keep someone you find distastful away from you. You are the folks willing to trade your liberty for a promise of security on a "trust me". I have something to say to you. It's time to buck up and stop it!

7. I am one of those people
I absolutely think that there will be another attack in this country before long. Not because they hate us for our "freedoms" but because we have been DESTROYING thier countries, we have put ourselves on the top of the most hated list. "Fighting them over there" has just created MORE people willing to die to avenge thier nations and families. Oh yes, and we haven't done jack-shit to actually make the country more secure.

The only way to stop the cycle of terrorism is through good foriegn policy. Not threats and deadlines, but actual rational discussions face to face between our leaders and thiers to find common-sense solutions that everyone can live with.

Instead we have 3 year olds leading the countries of the world, and in our own case, a drunk 3 year old with a God complex.

Sad.

12. Wow
as always Jon Stewart calls a spade a spade. "Get the facts not fear," what a crock courtesy of "the most trusted name in news." Between Lou Dobbs immigration threats and "target: USA" CNN is losing credibility faster than Tucker Carlson.

9. Let's turn this on its head . . .
With the "bin Laden's Still Out There" soap opera on CNN (with the usually non-hysterical Amanpour shilling -- not sure what's up with her), and with most people apparently believing he's plotting away (hell, I think he's probably plotting away myself), we've got another hammmer:

If the Republickers are right and we should all be very afraid -- shouldn't we be more afraid because they haven't caught this guy yet? Couldn't we have caught him if we'd been smarter in Afghanistan? Couldn't we have caught him if we hadn't squandered our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor in the Iraq quagmire? Couldn't we have caught him if our leaders weren't such brainless twits?

Couldn't we have caught him if there was a Democratic administration, backed by a Democratic Congress? By which I mean reasonable, adult, nonfanatic professionals with the right strategies to combat terrorism?

Independents and recovering Republicans: vote for the people who can help defend you, not the ones who just make things worse.

CNN should be doing a show on THAT instead of reporting on the obvious.

15. CNN has decided to emulate Fox News. They are now irrelevant.
Edited on Thu Aug-24-06 11:46 AM by Beelzebud
I've noticed this over the past 6 months, and it just gets more noticable by the day.

CNN is crap. They weren't always this bad, but they are just pure crap now.

18. Let's not forget CNN's esteemed General "Warmonger #1" Grange ...
Who just loves to "talk tough" ... right now he's swaggering about a "Peace Enforcing Force" in Lebanon.

We (the USA) are so arrogant, in that, we're not offering troops up YET we feel free to critique others who are actually making an effort to help this "cease fire" work. :puke:
