I hate having to boycott Olbermann

I know all the Jonbenet stuff on his show isn't his choice - but I refuse to give ratings to any show that joins the frey. Sorry Keith. I love ya babe, but as long as your bosses are going to shove this in my face I'll be doing something else instead.

1. He covers the top 5 stories of the day. That just happens to be one of

the top stories. Don't worry, it will disappear in a little bit. I see it as equivalent to the coverage of the Michael Jackson trial... Really not very newsworthy but happens to be in the news.

I'm guessing that along with double the amount of crime shows Abrams needs double the revenue. Keith, as the token lib, must pay the price.

6. Here's a suggestion

When the inevetible Jonbenet story comes on turn off you TV, go to a computer and type in something nasty on DU about media fixation with fluff. Maybe by the time you get back he'll be calling Bill O'Reilly the "Worst Person in the World" again.

I wouldn't worry too much, Keith's show has always been a mix of hard hitting politcal stories, wacky videos and celebrity gossip.

Now the guy who's really had to adjust is Scarborough. You almost feel sorry for the guy who's obviously been told to follow Olberman's format and "Please Joe, say something nasty about the president--Keith's viewers will bolt the station if you don't"

Jonbenet the other day. After listening to his callers he said he would never bring it up again!

That's what I've mostly been doing.

But for what it's worth, Keith's take on the JBR story seems to be much more critical of the media.

on edit: of course he won't see it until after the show but the time stamp will be there and he WILL get the message.

on the Ramsey case is that KeithO doesn't call it a "story my producer is making me cover."
