VIDEO: Chris Matthews gives dimwit GOP pol grilling that would wilt Bush
Matthews and Paul Hackett tear this guy a new asshole with a few obvious questions and well-documented facts, and stopping him when he repeats vacuous talking points.

In every other country in the West, leaders are subjected to this kind of questioning.

Tony Blair might be a poodle, but he can at least lie intelligently.

If Bush had one or two interview like this, where he was interrupted repeating his same lame talking points, he would not be president. If he had been questioned like this in 2004, he would not have been close enough in the vote to be able to claim he was re-elected.

2. please let this be a new trend!
The smirk on that robotic maniac says it all. "I would kiss my children goodbye and go to Iraq again to prevent the terrorists from coming to America" What exactly is preventing him from doing so?

4. Bet you a dollar Tweety has the GOP fool back on within two
weeks in order to showcase him - give him a positive interview.

He did it with the repug candidate from CT. After giving him a hard time about two weeks ago he had him on last night and lobbed softballs. At the end of the interview Tweety asked him if he had treated him ok. Tweety can't stand for repugs not to like him - but it is ok for dems to hate him.

5. I just got to watch that piece for the first time
It was a thing of beauty. WOW. Why cant all Democrats be that specific, that emotional, that decisive. Even Dean on Hardball today was not even close to being that decisive. I have disagreed with Hacket on a few issues involving the troops involved in the alleged killing of civilians, but damn, he is a man full of conviction. Other dems should take copious notes.

10. I disagree with Hackett on stuff, but I never doubt that he believes
what he says and will try to do what he says he will try to do.

With most Dems, just like nearly all Republicans, it is not a question of whether they are lying, but what percentage of the time.

7. I mean, depending on the times...
it's okay for the Press to gently play down unimportant handicaps our President suffers from, like with FDR, the press went along and made a point of not showing him in his wheelchair... BUT, and it's a big BUT, when the handicap involves a malicious personality disorder, seriously flawed mind and serious ignorance which has direct bearing on an individual's fitness for and ability to carry out the duties of President... it should be considered a form of treason--against the people.

Bush is an extremely poorly educated (owing to his own avoidance** of learning despite having attended good schools) man who could not, despite his best efforts, serve as a satisfactory President. The "Press" should not hide his unacceptable flaws, not even because any honest press conference would be like shooting a dead fish in a barrel... nope, not even then... especially not then!

**which may have involved a learning disorder (in addition to personality disorder with anti-social behavior).

12. being a parpelgic, adulterer, or even alcoholic won't necessarily hurt
your job performance the way being bone stupid and a heartless sociopath on top of it.

8. So, is Chris Matthews going to give Taylor's opponent equal time
to "debate" against some generic repuke who isn't running for anything? Aside from trying to appear that he's willing to limp-wrist slap a Repuke, he just handed the repuke Taylor national exposure (good or bad) ...
