Fat ass Charlie Cook thinks Lamont's days are over
He was on Tweety making the argument that Lieberman will win with independents and repubs. the only problem is Lieberman's going to start loosing independents before Nov. in my opinion.

1. he's dishing out the conventional wisdom...but
democrats are motivated to vote and republicans aren't. If Lamont can make strides among indies he will win, as it is he is already gaining in two recent polls.

6. Joe's re-election campaign is a test to how the country feels
about the war in Iraq. If he wins re-election as independent, it is a sign of electorate comatose in America, which will re-enforce how others from rest of the world think of us that we, as a nation, are dumb and dumber.

8. dumb@$$ is saying independents essentially "vote along party lines"
DOH!! just b/c a candidate runs as an "independent" doesn't mean "independents" will automatically vote for him! what a complete freaking moron!!
my understanding of "independents" is that they simply do not wish to pledge loyalty to or consistently vote for any single party. in CT they will vote for the person with the platform they like the most. so no, idiot, Joe will NOT necessarily get the "independent vote."

9. In the 2-10 days prior to the primary every single talking head,
analyst, media whore, etc. said that Joe would win. I wish someone could do a compilation of those folks and post it on YouTube. I think Cook was one of them.

11. The more the public learns that Lib is a sore loser - the
more support he will lose. People just instinctively think people should play fair - and Lib is cheating.
