I Challenge EVERY Bush-Lover (freeper) & Others
to watch Spike Lee's HBO Special - When the Levees Broke" and DARE them to defend this administration even ONCE. DARE THEM. I think Spike may get the Oscar for this one. Unbelievable powerful.

Anyone know what the freepers are saying?

I noticed at the end of the Documentary - Spike has everyone who spoke identify themselves - and I thought this is so the freeps & others cannot come out and say "those people weren't even from New Orleans, they were actors" or some such. He certainly nipped that in the bud.

And if you watch this - and you claim yourself to be a Christian, but you can still support Bush - you've got some answering to do. And if you watch this - and can still believe for 1 second that Bush is a Christian - well, your IQ is either below retarded or you are hopelessly brainwashed and need special help.

1. Response from them : "La LA LA"
Fingers in ears and eyes closed. No way a true freeper could watch WTLB, their head would explode...

People who call themselves "Christians" and support Chimp long ago jumped the shark when it comes to following Jesus' teachings.

I hope Spike Lee gets the Oscar. He has done the world and the US an amazing service in preserving the true story of Katrina.

2. Is it rated R?
The freepers who can afford HBO only tune in if there might be nekkid titties.

4. I agree!
I am watching it now and it is so heartbreaking I can barely stand it.

Then again, freepers don't have hearts so maybe they just won't get it.

7. Freeper response: "It's just a movie and Bush had nothing to do with it."
Yup... that's what they'd say. Bush has done a number on these idiots.

8. Unfortunately, Spike Lee can't get an Oscar for this film,
because Oscars are only given to theatrical films. He can, and should, get an Emmy though.

9. They will say what thay have been saying the whole time(bull shit) IMO
Edited on Wed Aug-23-06 06:06 PM by Alacrat
1) bush called the Gov. and Mayor on Friday, urging them to take action, and they failed to do so.
2)It took the Gov a couple of days to call the feds for help, that she should have called sooner, the feds don't just get up and go, also the Gov would not go for the NG being under fed control, she was playing politics, and on a power trip.
3) The city had a pre incident plan and didn't follow it, which was the main cause for the loss of life, and so many un evacuated people.
4)fema and the feds say in pre incident plans, that cities are on their own for 72 hours, the cities are supposed to make provisions ie.. water, food, and shelter, for that amont of time, the city didn't do that.
5) That the guard and fema were ready to enter the city and give relief to the people at the convention center and superdome, but they were stopped by NO officials who didn't want the people fed or given water there, because they were afraid they would stay and they wanted them to leave.
6) Spike left this out of his movie, and is trying to rewrite history with his own agenda

These are not my opinions, these are things I have actually heard them say. I also heard these statements made in incident debriefings from fema people(freepers) after we returned from Gulfport. I was there for 7 days working with a task force of first responders sent by our city on fema's request. fema will tell you all went smooth in every area except NO, and that it was all the fault of NO and State officials. Regardless of any of the above, the response after the initial event was over, and "the rebuilding" started, the government and fema's response and treatment are an absolute disgrace and shameful, add to that the insuarnce companies actions ( who have bush in their pockets), and the whole treatment is almost evil. Again, you asked what are they saying, or what have they said. This is what they have said and the same BS they will continue to say. Not me, I'm not in a get flamed mood today, our baby has an ear ache, he is sleeping now, so I want to enjoy some reading, maybe a post or two, I don't want to explain 100 times that these responses are not mine. Thanks AC

He's waiting for his morgage and insurance companies to decide what they are going to do so he can get on with his life.

13. Minor point
Since this is a TV movie, Spike Lee would be eligible for an Emmy, not an Oscar.
