1. Thx...
It's truly a powerful piece of work. We should all be ashamed of our government for the way they handled every aspect of this disaster. We can never forget Katrina.

8. Yep
I'm recording on the 29th -it was an amazing socio-economic and political discourse on the real meaning of neoliberalism. It is etched in my memory forever.

12. I watched it again last night with my friend from NO

This time I saw it through his eyes.

He could recognize many street corners and landmarks that made me thing how I would feel to see all those things destroyed in my city.

All the more reason that we should cherish our families and friends, nothing is forever.

My friend had been in NO in June. All the homes in the neighborhood where he grew up were still soaked with the smell and remains from filthy water 5 feet deep.

He worked with his brothers for four days to clean out their mother's home ~ not much progress could be made.

The smell he said was still deep in his memory.

6. This is a link to a blog that gives, IMO
a good explanation of the HBO Special.

As far as I know, the video is not out yet.

It will be repeated on TV several more times and it is an On Demand selection.

Are you saying that when you clicked into the link I posted that you didn't see anything or you didn't see a video?

I just tested the link again and it worked for me.

10. I live in Manhattan, it's hard to run to a friend's house.
Our apartments are so small we usually meet in bars, etc. It's a big deal to go over someone's house. Plus I only know two people with HBO and they live about 45 minutes away by subway. I'll have to catch it on google when someone rips it. :(

11. Living in Manhattan is worth not being able to

run to a friend's house. Love your city!
