Most listeners had never heard of Seder, whose ``Majority Report" was promoted this week to the midmorning slot -- 9 a.m. to noon -- on more than 70 stations across the country, including New York and Los Angeles. (Inexplicably, Air America's Boston affiliate broadcasts the show from 1-4 a.m.)

Kinda weird that it's in past tense, but it sounds pretty official. Now we wait until next week when Sam announces it for sure...

Now, who's going to take over the 8 PM–10 PM slot on September 1?

He went from being someone I had never heard of when AAR went on the air to my favorite on air personality of theirs. I thought he was a goner like Marc Maron and Liz Winstead, but finally AAR did something right. I shut my stream off daily at precisely 9AM because I can't stand Springer, so this is doubly good news

He does a morning show on KPOJ from 6 AM – 9 AM PST (which means Thom will be on against Seder on KPOJ). I don't think he'll stay up until 7 PM PT to do his national show!

by any chance does anyone know what is happening to WLIB programming for Gary Byrd, he comes on locally in New York, just asking.

14. It's my understanding that WLIB goes back to its original

format, which means Gary Byrd would still be doing overnights, unless WLIB management decides otherwise. He'd still be on 1190. He also does some shifts at WBAI (99.5 FM) and one of the FM stations, I think the call letters were WBLS. I don't know if any of those stations are available by stream, if that's what you need.

That article is incorrect. Sam will not be broadcast in LA. Stephanie Miller's show is the number #2 talk show in LA. There's is no way they will change.

I have to have my Steph in the morning. Those guys are well informed, and besides that, they crack me the hell up!

As much as I love Sam (The Freeper Slayer), I have to stream, so I won't be able to catch him in that time slot. I like Franken too, but if it's true that Al will begin campaigning at some point, that would be a perfect timeslot for Sam.

I HAVE xm throughout my home..( new home had wired for everything!)..and i have dual Xm throughout the whole house..and i can tell you..i will not listen to springer..and it is just a click of the button to have air american throughout the entire house..and i do not turn it on until 3 pm eastern..for Randi , Sam and MIke Malloy..I CAN NOT STAND SPRINGER..he is so milk toast and such an applogist ..for the reich wing..i refuse to listen to him..or he just talks crap..just crap..

so i will be thrilled if Sam takes over that slot..TRHRILLED I TELL YOU!

I like Stephanie Miller in the morning and I like Sam in the late afternoon -- I wish they'd have left the schedule alone, frankly. (I like Rachel Maddow but I don't know how her style will translate during the 6-8 slot.)

Again it's just rumor, but interesting...a whole new morning drive show, and two 1-hour shows from the weekend each weeknight?

or from the previous day? They can be entertaining, altho a tad too moderate in their politics for me. I have also found that at times they're not as up on things as other hosts (like Sam or Thom). I wonder how they'll be for drive-time (EST anyway)? Eco Talk nightly? It's OK with a weekend slot once a week but I don't see it every night. David Bender's show can be interesting at times. Interesting potential line-up. Probably won't make everyone happy, but what line-up would?
