Wal-Mart front group member compares Democrats to Hezbollah
Herman Cain, a member of the Wal-Mart advocacy group Working Families for Wal-Mart, is under fire for a column that compares prominent Democrats to Hezbollah guerillas.

Cain, an African-American businessman and radio show host, yesterday posted a column at the opinion website Townhall.com in which he tagged potential 2008 Democratic presidential candidates, among them Sens. Hilary Clinton (D-NY) and Joe Biden (D-DE), as "Hezbocrats ... determined to take down Wal-Mart." Cain uses the expression "Hezbocrats" a dozen times throughout the column.

10. Well, "let em rant" but also call them on it (fight'em hard and publicly)
Otherwise, experience shows they just pull the go-along middle in their wacky direction.

15. Damn good point!
We have to make a stink on every one of these issue.

If we don't we allow the right to define us.

Every attack must be responded to.

3. I missed that one -Hermain Cain isn't usually that interesting
Hezbocrats - very overt. Bill Murchinson wrote an article arguing that Democrat antipathy for Walmart would hurt our ability to rule, so if you really love Democrats, you need to vote Republican.

Yeah that doesn't make much sense to me either.

I wonder if their target audience is actually Wal-Mart - saying "Remember who your friends are and give us money."

5. Isn't Cain clever?
"Hezbocrats," hee, hee, hee. So very clever since it rhymes with "lezbo" doncha know. And bonus! he mentions Hillary Clinton.

I wonder if Mr. Cain knows what a real militia looks like? He seems a very confused man. Wal-Mart should definitely reconsider the large amounts of money they are no doubt paying him, since he doesn't appear to know the difference between a civil society organization and an armed paramilitary organization.

16. This guy must be shown to the public
Wal-Mart must pay for this.

I'll never shop there again and I'm considering taking the rest of the day off to just send emails about this to my friends and family.

9. I wish it was even slightly true.
Hezbollah pays attention to what people need. They provide services, aid, and they seem to be taking the lead in reconstruction.

If our representatives grew a pair (ovaries or testicles, as appropriate) and started being that representive and productive I'd be a lot more proud of of them.

12. Wal-Mart is doing us a favor
Attack groups backed by an extremely unpopular and decidedly right-wing retailer are doing wonders to explain why the right wing sucks. Let them keep it up. Wal-Mart is a master at making money, but even more of a master of shooting itself in the foot, PR-wise. Because anything NICE they're doing is phony, and that always comes out because it only talks the talk.

This has to be particularly embarassing, because the guy was only saying in public what Wal-Mart types say privately. They really hate Democrats, even though Sam Walton was one.

14. WalMart men (or women) also think Iraq was put on the planet
Edited on Wed Aug-23-06 02:20 PM by applegrove
so that they could move in there..when it is safe (paid for by middle class Americans).. and buy shit from China, sell it to Iraqis...put small Iraqi businessmen out of business...and then bring home all the money to Arkansas. And they think this is right. And fair. And that this will somehow create great stability in the new Iraq.

Why would ANYONE in their right mind even go NEAR one of those places?

I'd fucking MOVE before I'd be forced into shopping at a walmart.

20. We must put a stop to this swift boat campaign against our party
If we don't fight this fight right here and now we will be facing it in November.

We have to hit them hard with our emails, phone calls, and word of mouth.

Don't spend a friggin dime at Wal-Mart and tell everyone you know they are trying to paint us, you, we, as terrorists.
