Hey, folks! I am cutting out the segments where Mike Malloy is reading George Orwell's "1984" for eventual concatenation into a single work, but I thought you might want to have access to the saved episodes to date!

3. I'd LOVE a complete Mike Malloy 1984 audio book...

Did Mike read the whole thing?

I'd bet a complete set would GREATLY increase the knowledge of the book!

Perhaps CDs could be made as a fund raiser? Would you need Malloy's permission for that? :shrug:

Suggestions to Mike and Kathy Malloy:
~have Kathy read novel's Julia's parts (any dialogue with Winston Smith)
~either after each of 3 major chapters or after the entire novel, Mike, Kathy, and a guest who has analyzed George Orwell's works could stand back from the novel in order to compare 1984 Oceania to 2006 Bushworld.

With my beat-up high-school copy, I'm following along with Mike. . .Orwell was sheer genius. . .heartfelt kudos to the Malloys for their decision to enlighten the public with the best in literary thinking.

The main AAR stream crapped out on me Just before the 1984 segment.

Now I'm going to re-read the book again for the first time in 30 (?) years. If getting people to read the book was part of Mike's intention, well, he's succeeded brilliantly!
