Seriously....Is anybody ready to impeach Bush?
As some of you know, I took an idea of sending tea to the whitehouse and put it into the context of a POSTCARD. I am a rookie at websites but have created an easy way for you all to let congress know that you want to impeach Bush. Please visit: www.johnlisainmilo.com and download your card and send to congress (address is provided on website). Tell them you want Bush impeached! We want this on November ballots everywhere! Now is the time to act! Thank You for your support!

2. Only if we win both hours of Congress
Even then it will be an uphill climb: we will still have to deal with the Ben Nelsons and Dianne Feinsteins of the party.

To pursue impeachment without controlling both houses of Congress is a waste of time that would be guaranteed to result in failure.

3. NOT TRUE
There are several organizations right now organizing for impeachment. This is just one. If you visit DU activist lounge you will see more. THIS IS NOT A WASTE OF TIME. Democrats need to stand up and voice their options now. We need to get off the sidelines and into action!

4. we have to win the House 1st
this is where it begins at least with any amount of follow through.

winning the House is critical, Conyers will be named Speaker and then he will move forward with impeachment proceedings, followed by the Senate after we win that too. Once Bush and Cheney are impeached the Speaker of the House(Conyers) will be President.

This would turn the world upside down for all of the "loving Christian Conservatives"

Hey I can dream can't I?

7. Cheney IS the prez!
He's less popular than Bush and he stated he won't run in 2008.

10. Never understood why people are so wussy on this....
(a) Why not deal with gw, and then dickless cheney later?

(b) As others have already mentioned, a dickless president wouldn't be substantially different from what we have now.

(c) What's worse: BOTH gw and cheny? Or just Cheney?

I just don't see the "oooh i'm soooo scared of cheney!" boogeyman thing that everyone's panties are in such an uproar over.

12. If an impeachment happens, Cheney would also be impeached.
His involvement in everything from the Valerie Plame affair, to the Iraq War, to the NSA warrantless wiretaps would easily be established given a proper Congressional investigation, so if an impeachment against Bush were to take place, Cheney (as well as Rumsfeld, Gonzales and most of the Cabinet) would go down with him.

Nancy Pelosi should be going for impeachment if she becomes Speaker of the House, at least for the sake of her career - she could become President if my memory of the order of succession serves...

9. Won't happen
Even if Dems win both house AND senate, they'll have no stomach for it, will cite for the good of the country, yadayada, and bushco knows this.
