Scout prime's Katrina video: Watch it
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bvo-qo2mBN4&eurl=

She writes:

...Let's remember New Orleans not just this next week but everyday until the people receive Justice.

Give your support.
Give your care.
Give your money.
Give a Damn.

Raise your voice

Call your Congress Critters and tell them to Rebuild the Gulf Coast

1. Brilliant Video!
Worth every minute.
Please flood the White House with a water bottle.
Send a message to the President.
People are without drinking water.
People are without a place to live.
People are without a place to work.
This IS criminal!
Recommended for Greatest Page.
I have no idea why more people have not done the same.

2. Not sure, but that might be my brother holding up his wedding picture...
...in the "Lakeview" section (at about 6:30). His house was very close to the Lakeview breach.

The most powerful part of this video is just the car rolling past house after house after house... Chris Rose (TP columnist and Pulitzer nominee for his book "1 Dead in Attic") wrote once about how off-base some people's perceptions are about the state of N.O. months after Katrina. Someone actually asked him if it was still possible to find homes that showed the most devastation from Katrina.

Well, yes, if you consider it difficult to close your eyes and throw a rock

5. Thanks, Anita
It's too hard to digest all at once, so I'm taking tiny bites. This go 'round I particularly appreciated being reminded that so many reporters have had the chance to look the damage in the eye, to see the results of the Bush administration's incompetence up close, and then....FORGET. The only one who adjusted his attitude appropriately and long-term, the one who has consistently dropped all deference toward the bushbots is Jack Cafferty.

Even though he's not always terribly progressive, he hasn't forgotten and I respect him for that. In his clip in this video, there's a desperation in his disdain. Now, each day he rides them one way or another. I think this is where that started. Too bad that more didn't follow his very human example.

7. Viewed, kicked and nominated.
This is terrific, very moving. This administration should hang their heads in shame. I hope they all rot in hell.

12. I was mobilized by the Navy last year for Katrina.
That video, Spike Lee's documentary on HBO and the upcoming anniversary have been getting to
me lately.
Call me what you will but I don't want to hear 911 anymore, not until we take care of the
Gulf Coast like we should.
I hope they will not be forgoten.

The bits in scouts, the media bits, about not being allowed into Gretna "that is all the perspective you need". oh my
