I was looking at the TSA list of prohibited items
Edited on Wed Aug-23-06 08:08 AM by DesertRat
I can't wear my gel inserts in my shoes or carry on a bottle of water, shampoo or toothpaste, lip gloss or hand lotion.

BUT, I can bring onboard a 7" screwdriver, wrench and pliers. And metal scissors with blades 4" or less.
:wtf:

1. And you can bring all of the above
...as long as it goes into the cargo hold, where only about 10% of baggage is checked.

Make sense yet?

5. And
where a small percentage of commercial cargo is SCREENED before it is loaded. I love this country, you just can't make this stuff up!

6. It's hopelessly confusing.
But yeah, just check everything in and you'll be OK. Airport security lines are now called "checkpoints" at the airports. I just got back from a trip and this was the first time I noticed the use of that term.

7. I can hardly wait for the next "mister, you must be jellin'" commercial
So I can take my Leatherman (with which I can disassemble several key aircraft components) on board but I can't take something that does nothing more than keep my feet from hurting. :eyes:

11. Cancer survivors and gelled prosthetics.
Many women breast cancer survivors wear gel prosthetics. Is TSA telling these women that they have to ditch their prosthetic breasts?

I can't wait for the American Cancer Society to realize that, if it's true.

How does this make any sense?

14. If terrorists were really smart they would adopt a disability
My ex spent several weeks on crutches (several feet of hollow aluminum tubing) after a knee surgery. She also flies a lot. NEVER did she have anyone do anything with the crutches other than hold them while she hobbled through the metal detector.
