5. Poor Brian Unger.

Last night he looked so non-interested as MSGOP forced me to watch the first HALF HOUR!!!!!!!! of JBR-ad-nausem. I dont have cable here at home (thank god) so I always catch the midnite rerun at work.

11. I feel for Brian Unger. Actually, I think he does a pretty good job.

He's a good, clever writer, and irreverent like-minded fill-in for the Great Olbermann (whom I LOVE). I'd certainly rather make do with Brian Unger than with any of the other fill-ins they've tried there. But I'm glad to hear KO is back. Always restores my faith a little.

They did send him out here to do the TCAs (TV Critics Association) and the "Tonight Show" if I'm not mistaken, and to emcee something or other - that slips my mind at the moment. That tells me they're seeing a very vocal and loyal following - and obviously from the ratings, one that's increasing. If that weren't the case, they wouldn't spend the extra air fare and hotel charges. They don't spend money on you or showcase you, at companies like these, unless they regard you as somehow worth it.

He's been in Los Angeles for more than a week. Not sure why, aside from vacation (although he JUST vacationed there, even though he had to spend some time making TV appearances).

Maybe it has to do with his book. :shrug:

10. After they showed a clip of Bush referring to the

"Democrat Party" KO referred to the "Republic Party". I have never heard anyone - news person, politician or pundit - make that correction/comment on tv before.
